Thank you Chet nikki dougo and Eric for a video every day ! It has rained every day this week here in michigan . We got some tillage done but no harvesting which is bad when we still have 3000 of beans to harvest and 2100 acres of corn as well . Those wind systems are really nice . We enjoy ours on both of our heads . Thanks for the videos they are great! Stay safe and farm on my friends !

I love watching you guys with the combines, I'm from the northeast and we picked corn and green beans by hand in the day. A bushel an hour was good for green beans and about 20-30/ hour was good for corn. You guys are way faster! Amazing.

One of your finest videos so far.I was glued to the screen. The background music was fantastic and fit seamlessly into the action,a tip of the hat to your wife Nicole :).Chet, for a very young farmer, you are indeed very level-headed and aware of your equipment. You are mature and dedicated beyond your years, another tip of the hat to Doug and Amy for a son well raised. Thanks and good luck for the rest of the Harvest.

Grain cart footage picking up from both combines was sweet. Something about farming videos seems to fulfill some sort of natural desire to plant/harvest 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Greetings from (a wet and windy)Edinburgh Scotland, have been following your videos only for a few months. This weekend is a total washout here rain for 24 hrs.so I took the opportunity to look back at your equipment walk-about parts 1 and 2... wow...... fantastic........ so good to get to now the background and start to understand more of your work and family background.
I was born and raised on a two thousand acre farm in the flat lands of Cambridgeshire England know as the Fens. My Granddad was Area Manager for the estate and my Farther Foreman oh what a fantastic childhood.... school got in the way weekends around the farm.
my biggest life regret was/still is that I decided to go into construction ...... but it turned out good.
Now trying to locate your farm on google maps. Thank you showing us the day to day farm life and showing the considerable/massive investment farming today demands from you and your family ... Thank you.

Used a California car duster for over 20 years. Yes it has oil on it but once you “wear it in” it works wonders. Used the same one for over 20 years. Do it end of every night so dew doesn’t mess it up.

A tip I saw on the Four Winds Farm channel was attaching a length of chain to a well-earned point on the body then let the other end drag on the ground to discharge the static electricity and keep the windows clear(er). Another good video, here's hoping for a good harvest for you.

Keep it up. Cole, Larson, NY Farm Girls, Laura Farms, Sandi (and Jessica) Brock Etc, etc. Love you all.

Chet’s staying on top of his hair cutting schedule. Could stand to drag a comb or brush through it now and then but a big improvement overall from last spring.
Take off a couple of those cross supports, add a board and the grain cart might make a fair swimming pool in the off season.

  • @dominicwroblewski5832

Chet, for what it's worth, that duster is gonna make the windshield worse. There are 2 methods that I recommend. 1) after you wash the windshield, coat it with RainX. 2) an old fashioned way (I'm 60 years old) is that once the windshield is washed with news paper, dry it off with newspaper. Use news paper with mostly black ink (The Wall Street Journal is the best) The glass will shine like hell and the ink will act to keep the dust from adhering to it for quite a while.

In one of your videos you were greasing the combine. You had to crawl down inside to get one of the zerk fittings and complained about the bean dust.
Suggestion: can you install a steel or copper line up close to the top so you don’t have to go inside. If there is to much vibration then use a small hydraulic hose. I’ve done this on a lot of equipment that had hard to reach areas.

Chet you need to get out and check behind your combine and not trust the monitors so much. At the neighbors farm here this year 10% to 15% of his beans were blowing out the back of his Case. They found it out after the old school farmer (his father) walked behind the combine.
Oh and oats dust beats bean dust 2 to 1 for being the worst.
