  • John 5:24 tells us that believers will not be judged at The Great White Throne Judgment, but does that mean believers will not witness The Great White Throne Judgment. Ken Yates of the Grace Evangelical Society, answers the question, "Will believers witness the Great White Throne Judgment?"

It would be so wonderful for this video to have 20.000 likes, for it would mean that Salvation is understood by people to be the free gift from God that it is. But so few understand who the Lord is. Thank you for your ministry. It's so refreshing.

In Rev. 20:11... Who is the ONE sitting on the GREAT WHITE THRONE that John saw?... God the Father (YHWH) or Christ Jesus?... Let us analyze carefully... let the Bible SPEAK.
We start/begin with Rev. 4:2... John narrates that immediately he was in the Spirit, and behold, "a THRONE is set in Heaven and ONE sat on the throne"... (not identified who He is).
Then, in Rev. 4:4... John narrates that around the THRONE, there were 24 Thrones with 24 Sitting Elders... (therefore, the 12 Sitting Elders were around/in circling the THRONE).
Then, in Rev. 5:1-2... "And I (John) saw in the right hand of HIM (One) who sat on the THRONE a SCROLL written inside and on the back, sealed with 7 Seals... and a Mighty Angel claiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to Open the Scroll and to loose (remove/break) the seal?...
Then, in Rev. 5:6... John narrates that he saw 4 Living Creatures in the MIDST (middle) of the THRONE and of the 24 Sitting Elders... (this means the 4 Living Creatures were also around/in Circling the Throne... therefore, if we visualized this information, the Outer Circle will be the 24 Sitting Elders, while the Inner Circle (nearer to the THRONE) will be the 4 Living Creatures, and at the CENTER of the circles (outer/inner) is the ONE who sits on the THRONE)...
Then it continued... John narrates that he saw in/from the MIDST (middle) of the 24 Sitting Elders stood a LAMB that as though it had been slain with 7 Horns and 7 Eyes which are the 7 Spirits of God sent out to all the Earth... (clearly, not from the Midst of the Throne but from the Midst (middle) of the Sitting Elders, this person is definitely identified (100%) as Christ Jesus/Word/Son of God/Son of Man...
Clearly, Christ Jesus stood in the MIDDLE/MIDST of the 24 Sitting Elders, 12 Elders from each side of the LAMB/CHRIST around (in circling) the THRONE...
Final conclusion... the ONE who sits on the GREAT WHITE THRONE at the CENTER around (inner circle/midst) the 4 living Creatures and (outer circle/midst) of the 24 Sitting Elders... is definitely (100%) GOD the father (YHWH), and not Christ Jesus/Son of God and of Man...
Logically speaking, if Christ Jesus was the ONE sitting on the Throne with a Scroll from His hands... John could easily identify Him as the ONE who sits on the Throne... John does not need to cry out just because no one is worthy to open the scroll and break the seal... lastly, the LAMB should not have STOOD in/from the MIDST (middle) of the 24 Sitting Elders... but Christ Jesus should have STOOD from the THRONE... but that was not the BIBLICAL TRUTH... based on the Book of Revelation...
Facts and Truth of the Matters, Biblically and Logically speaking... Praise be to God in Christ Jesus... Amen and Amen...

Brother Ken, you make it sound like everyone is going to be saved and that is not what I understand from reading Rev 20:11-15. "the dead" refers to the rest of the dead in verse 5; they are all judged according to their works but ultimately, if their name is not in the Lamb's book of life they are cast into the lake of fire. the severity of their punishment would depend on the quality of their works (Heb 10:26-31).

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is the Gospel by which one is saved!
Look up as many churches that you know of or that are in your area and read these churches statements of faith.
It really is tragic in how most churches and denominations reject the Gospel we read in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, and in place add works which Romans 11:6 warns against doing.

I personally believe that some individuals, depending on the conditions of their life, will be given a chance to believe the saving message and have their name written into the Book of Life at the GWT Judgment (completely at Christ's own discretion, based on His review, perhaps even preached to them by Him in the moment of their judgment). I believe this is why Revelation mentions the Book of Life being present during the GWT Judgment (otherwise, why have it in the imagery of the passage since God knows of His own mind none of their names will be there? and is it even truly an actual "book"? if not then it would be even more so a metaphor for God opening this area up within Himself/His mind).
Now, I'm not saying this would be true of all people, some would obviously not be extended the offer; namely those who in their lifetime genuinely rejected the saving message, having actually understood it correctly but did not believe. However, I do believe there are "normal" people who, for whatever reason (perhaps intellectual handicaps we don't yet scientifically comprehend), who cannot birth the vision of the saving message in the correct way within themselves for anyone to justly declare their rejection of it who may be extended this offer (perhaps from within the scope of Christendom and also outside of it throughout the world and all of history).
At the end of the day God can do whatever He wants and everything He decides to do will be fair and just, regardless of what we think or how we thought scripture portrayed this event in our lifetime.

"there will be no more remembrance of the former things," Revelation. He will wipe that memory from us forever. For all eternity you will never even know you had loved ones that are in the lake of fire. They will no longer be loved ones if they die in their sins. Who cares about them now if they died in their sins. They are not my loved ones any longer if they die in their sins while I am still in this body awaiting to go to be with the Lord. They were enemies of my God and Saviour. "Who is my mother, sister, brother..."

The Great White Throne Judgement is for anyone who dies an unrepentant sinner.
    As
    Matthew 7:21-23 &
Matthew 25:1-12 makes very clear that many who believed in Jesus but lived in lawlessness will not be allowed in.
Lawlessness/ Iniquity is continuing in unrepentant sin.
    1 John 3:3-10
All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
7 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
8The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
9No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.
10This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.
Only those who Jesus knows will not be at the Great White Throne Judgement.
    2 Timothy 2:19
Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription:
“THE LORD KNOWS THOSE WHO ARE HIS,”
and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

You say “no one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.”

      I didn't say it.
      The same John that wrote
      John 3:16 said it.
He is talking about false believers who want to continue in unrepentant sin.
Yes even mature true repentant believers at times will sin.
Some pretend they can live anyway they want because Jesus died for our sins.
That is why the very next verse says v-9
IF we confess our SINS he is faithful and just TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.
If you don't confess sin it will not be forgiven.
You really ought to humble yourself repent from calling the disciple Jesus loved a liar.

No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.” Then you said “yes even matur true repentant believers at times will sin”. Which is true? Hypocrite! The difference is some use grace as a license to CONTINUE IN UNREPENTANT SIN deceiving themselves that since Jesus died for all sins then all you have to do is say I believe.
The blood of Jesus does cleanse us from sin, IT DOES NOT CLEANSE IN THE DARK!
      1 John 1:6-10
IF we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7But IF we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
8IF we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9IF we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10IF we claim we have not sinned, we make him to be a liar and his word is not in us.
      Note the IF's

I'll ask this to see what responses come...
Is it possible for a believer to overcome sin, mortify the flesh, and be truly born of God and sin no more, through the power of the Holy Spirit?
If one says no, then is the Holy Spirit able to overcome sin?
If one says yes, yet we keep sinning, is that one still yielding to sin and the flesh?
I'm not revealing sinless perfection. Is it possible to sin no more? Even the Word says when temptation comes, He will provide a way of escape.
That's why the Word says IF we sin...
      Not when but IF.
      Think about it.
