How to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
ADMIT YOUR SIN: Sin separates us from God. The Bible says, "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) The only way back to God is through His Son, Jesus Christ.
ABANDON SELF-EFFORT: If we could save ourselves, Jesus didn't have to die! Salvation is by God's grace alone. "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
ACKNOWLEDGE CHRIST'S PAYMENT: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for your sins. "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Jesus died in your place and your sin debt has been paid for by, "The blood of Jesus Christ." (1John 1:7)
ACCEPT CHRIST AS SAVIOR: Put your faith in Jesus Christ and Him alone for your salvation. Receive Him by faith. The Bible says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." (Acts 16:31) Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father but by Me." (John 14:6)
OFFER THIS PRAY TO GOD TODAY: Heavenly Father, I'm a sinner, I'm lost and I need to be saved. I know I can't save myself. I trust You to save me. Come into heart, forgive my sin and save me. I give you my life, I don't look for a sign or ask for a feeling; I trust only in You to save me. Begin now to make me the person You want me to be. Help me never to be ashamed of You. When I imagine a minister or pastor, this is the guy that is poster for Spokesman for God. Adrian Rogers is polished. His voice is commanding and serious. You can't help but take notice and listen to what he is saying. He looks and act exactly how I would draw up a man of God to preach God's Holy Word. Mr. Rogers is powerful and confident as he talks about God and he is crystal clear on what he is saying. He paints a great picture for the listener to see what he is saying.
Agreed. He has a no nonsense yet loving approach. You wouldn’t want to cross him, but not crossing him would be as easy or as difficult as having the right heart for God.

Remember what GOD told samuel when God sent them to look for the king to anoint. When they kept picking the ones who were tall, handsome, well spoken and physically developed? King David was NOT these things. Look up what was said.

I have attended several churches during my years, but have never heard a preacher like Adrian Rogers! He preaches the Bible, praise God I understand more than I ever have through this man of God.
Think too! He may preach the bible ,like others , but no " book " has power to save the soul. One must seek, the Invisible Face of God in Heaven with the whole heart, to be reconciled with Him.

Great comment,and there is scripture to back it up. Where the Lord teaches, it's better to settlement with the man ,on the way to court, than facing the judge's decision which could be much worse.
Listened to Pastor Rodgers a many nights in my freight truck and passed his church in Memphis and would always think of him and his preaching the gospel. Sure hated to hear when he had passed on to Glory, not for his death but for this world losing another good servant of God. May God raise up other great pastors/teachers to reach out to a lost world to the day The Father says, “Son go get my children.”

Too many young people think because they are "nice" they will go to heaven. Wrong. Adrian has a great way of explaining the error of that thinking. Miss him.
Adrian Rodgers was one of the most God/Jesus honoring Pastor. Him and Billy Graham knew each other.

One thing that bothered me of Adrian Rogers is that he had esteem for billy graham. Billy Graham was a preacher , but was not converted to Christ. He was built up by his peers ,but the call of God was not on him. He had what he would call " crusades " in large stadiums with a 5000 member choir, and other attracting tentacles to draw large audiences. Billy was not God,s man!

One of the best sermons of all time in my opinion. We need more like him today to fill the pulpit with the Word of God and not trying to fill seats in the church.
There was no one preaching " sermons " in the early church that is because no one enters Eternal Salvation listening to a man speak! In the 1st century, people believed and lived righteously and others were converted the same way. They had no buildings, no choir, no ushers, no deacon board ,no singers with intruments on a platform! There were no paid ministers like there is now, as those who are pastors don,t do that for money! When someone is paid money that one will not learn the way of Faith , and not know how to guide another soul into the Faith in which alone a soul can be saved!

I know that I know that Adrian Rogers is in heaven rejoicing in the Presence of our Savior Jesus Christ!
Having followed the ways of the world with self-centered living, whose empty promises led me to a near pathetic and disasterous decision of suicide, God reached out and placed the penalty of my misguided and irresponsible lifestyle on His own Son. At the Cross I found grace and mercy - "I stepped where the fire has already been." And now, He who was once my Judge, is now my Abba Father - my heavenly Daddy! The selfless life He offered then and continues to offer has been a sheer joy full of purpose, meaning, and significance. I'm nearing the end of life in this world - thank God my case was "settled-out-of-court" 39 yrs ago.
