What Is The Great White Throne? (Prophecy Points)

  • Check this out. My wife Cathe and I answer the question, “Will Christians be present at the Great White Throne Judgement?”
God is no respecter of persons. Whether a pauper or a prince, no one will be exempt from the Great White Throne Judgment, except believers. The Bible states, “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18).
It is important to understand on what basis we will be judged. It’s not on the basis of what I have done for God, but rather, what God has done for me!
Back in the Garden of Eden, God told Adam, “In the day that you eat of it [the tree of the knowledge of good and evil] you shall surely die” (Genesis 2:17). The Bible teaches there are actually two deaths; one physical and the other spiritual. Jesus warned that we are to fear the second death more than the first death. He discussed the second death as Hell, which is eternal separation from God. Jesus indicated that the death of the body is nothing compared to the conscious everlasting banishment of a soul from God.
The purpose of this final confrontation between God and sinful man is to clearly demonstrate to the nonbeliever why he is already condemned.
    The books
One of the books which will be opened at the Great White Throne Judgment will be the book of God’s Law. Anyone who had been exposed to the truth of God’s law will be held responsible. For those who might say, “I lived by the Ten Commandments,” it will clearly be shown they did not.
Perhaps another book that will be used will contain a record of everything we have said or done. “For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:14).
“But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment” (Matthew 12:36).
Another book may show how humanity fails to live up to its own standards. “Even when Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, instinctively follow what the law says, they show that in their hearts they know right from wrong. They demonstrate that God’s law is written within them, for their own consciences either accuse them or tell them they are doing what is right. The day will surely come when God, by Jesus Christ, will judge everyone’s secret life. This is my message” (Romans 2:14 NLT).
Then, there may be a book that has a record of all the times the gospel was heard and then rejected. Knowledge brings responsibility!
Finally, the Book of Life will be opened. The nail-scarred hands of Jesus will scan the book for names.
“Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41). If you don’t know him now, He won’t know you then.
    Lake of fire
The lake of fire is the final destination for Satan and his followers. You will decide. Where you spend eternity is not based on how bad or good you are, but on what you have done with Jesus Christ. Say “yes” to Him now, and He will say “yes” to you then. Say “no” to Him now, and He will say “no” to you then.
Remember, your life is a gift of God to use and invest for His glory.

@@lloydjoyner5621 yes. The first resurrection is a special resurrection for martyrs basically. Read in Hebrews the ones who are tortured , they are looking for the BETTER RESURRECTION. The second resurrection ( great white throne) is for all unbelievers and many Christians as well who were not in the first resurrection. John 6 Jesus said a hour ( not seperated by a thousand years) is coming we’re ALL that are in the graves will hear his voice. Some to eternal life, some to condemnation. ( same as Daniel 12:2. )

I've heard some say that not to share the gospel is a sin because one is not obeying Jesus' command to go forth and share his message. Would it also be a sin for churches not to speak out in these times of shut downs and attempts to silence the word? I have heard few church leaders openly and loudly condemn the actions of those who are trying to silence Christians.

2 Timothy chapter 4 is giving instructions on preaching the word in due season until you see the face of Christ at your death. Paul gives us a big clue as to what happens at the moment we die. It says at the moment of your death; Christ will judge the “quick” and the “dead” at HIS appearing. This is talking about what happens at the moment you die. The word quick means “alive” and the word “dead” means dead. So how can the quick be alive if they are dead? Paul is referring to the Spirit, one is a mortal spirit and the other is immortal. The Greek words for this concept are; nekros, hoi nekroi, ek nekron and 'ek ton nekron. (Details below)
      >So the next question is; where do the quick and the dead go? Answer, Paradise. The next question is; which side of the GULF does the dead go and which side of GULF does the Quick go? Answer; the Quick go to the right side of the GULF. The dead go to the left side of the GULF as found in Matthew 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
      >The goats and the sheep are not separated “before” the death of the flesh. This can only happen after you die. If you look at 2 Timothy 4:1 it is apparent that everyone is immediately judged and then a great division is given between the goats-sheep and the left and right, but there is not a final JUDGEMENT until a thousand years later. In Matthew 25:41 Jesus gives the sentence to those who are on the left but it is not carried out until after the GWTJ.
“Then HE shall say” in verse 41 are the key words to understand when this will happen. At that time; meaning the future GWTJ a thousand years later, God the consuming fire will say depart from me.
      >Word meanings for the dead below;
The word nekros (Noun and Adjective) has different meanings, according as it is used in different connections:-
      1. With the Article (hoi nekroi) it denotes dead bodies, or corpses or carcasses in the grave, apart from the personality they once had. This is the Old Testament idiom also. See Septuagint, Genesis 23:3, 4, 6, 8. Deuteronomy 18:11; 28:26. Jeremiah 7:33; 9:22; 19:7. Ezekiel 37:9. See Matthew 22:31. 1Corinthians 15:35.
      2. Without the Article (nekroi) it denotes the persons who were once alive, but who are now alive no longer: that is to say, dead persons as distinct from dead bodies. Compare Deuteronomy 14:1. Judges 4:22. Lamentations 3:6. And see notes on Matthew 22:32. Acts 26:23.1Corinthians 15:12, 12, 13, 15, 16. Hebrews 13:20, etc.
      3. With a Preposition, but without the Article, which may be latent in the Preposition (ek nekron), it denotes out from among dead people. Reference Mark 9:9, 10. Luke 16:30, 31. John 20:9. Acts 10:41. Romans 6:13; 10:7, 9; 11:15. 1Corinthians 15:12-, 20. Hebrews 11:19.
      4. With a Preposition, and with the Article; for example 'ek ton nekron, it denotes emphatically out from among the dead bodies, or corpses. Compare Ephesians 5:14. Colossians 1:18; 2:12.
      5. The bearing of this on 1Peter 4:6 will be better seen if we note that we have nekroi (See No. 2, above), meaning people who were then dead, but who had had the Gospel preach to them while they were alive; and this is confirmed by the Greek Particle, men(=although) in the next clause, which is ignored both by the Authorized Version and Revised Version. The verse reads thus: "For to this end to those who are (now) dead was the Gospel preached, that though they might be judged in the flesh, according to [the will of] men,¹ yet they might live [again, in resurrection], according to [the will of] God, as regards [the] spirit"; that is to say, in spiritual bodies, spoken of in 1Corinthians 15:44, 45. 2 Corinthians 5:10 JSOC

In Rev. 20:11... Who is the ONE sitting on the GREAT WHITE THRONE that John saw?... God the Father (YHWH) or Christ Jesus?... Let us analyze carefully... let the Bible SPEAK.
We start/begin with Rev. 4:2... John narrates that immediately he was in the Spirit, and behold, "a THRONE is set in Heaven and ONE sat on the throne"... (not identified who He is).
Then, in Rev. 4:4... John narrates that around the THRONE, there were 24 Thrones with 24 Sitting Elders... (therefore, the 12 Sitting Elders were around/in circling the THRONE).
Then, in Rev. 5:1-2... "And I (John) saw in the right hand of HIM (One) who sat on the THRONE a SCROLL written inside and on the back, sealed with 7 Seals... and a Mighty Angel claiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to Open the Scroll and to loose (remove/break) the seal?...
Then, in Rev. 5:6... John narrates that he saw 4 Living Creatures in the MIDST (middle) of the THRONE and of the 24 Sitting Elders... (this means the 4 Living Creatures were also around/in Circling the Throne... therefore, if we visualized this information, the Outer Circle will be the 24 Sitting Elders, while the Inner Circle (nearer to the THRONE) will be the 4 Living Creatures, and at the CENTER of the circles (outer/inner) is the ONE who sits on the THRONE)...
Then it continued... John narrates that he saw in/from the MIDST (middle) of the 24 Sitting Elders stood a LAMB that as though it had been slain with 7 Horns and 7 Eyes which are the 7 Spirits of God sent out to all the Earth... (clearly, not from the Midst of the Throne but from the Midst (middle) of the Sitting Elders, this person is definitely identified (100%) as Christ Jesus/Word/Son of God/Son of Man...
Clearly, Christ Jesus stood in the MIDDLE/MIDST of the 24 Sitting Elders, 12 Elders from each side of the LAMB/CHRIST around (in circling) the THRONE...
Final conclusion... the ONE who sits on the GREAT WHITE THRONE at the CENTER around (inner circle/midst) the 4 living Creatures and (outer circle/midst) of the 24 Sitting Elders... is definitely (100%) GOD the father (YHWH), and not Christ Jesus/Son of God and of Man...
Logically speaking, if Christ Jesus was the ONE sitting on the Throne with a Scroll from His hands... John could easily identify Him as the ONE who sits on the Throne... John does not need to cry out just because no one is worthy to open the scroll and break the seal... lastly, the LAMB should not have STOOD in/from the MIDST (middle) of the 24 Sitting Elders... but Christ Jesus should have STOOD from the THRONE... but that was not the BIBLICAL TRUTH... based on the Book of Revelation...
Facts and Truth of the Matters, Biblically and Logically speaking... Praise be to God in Christ Jesus... Amen and Amen...

These people at the great white throne judgment, their sins have not been nailed to the cross. They have not been adopted as sons and daughters through Jesus. They have not been washed and regenerated by the holy Spirit. Most of them thought that they could make it to Heaven by their own righteousness. And then most of them are atheists who think there is no life after death. And there are many agnostics who probably do believe there is a Heaven but salvation is universal. Jesus didn't say that he's one way. He said that he's the only way

Definition: a step, raised place, by implication a tribunal Usage: an elevated place ascended by steps, a throne, tribunal.
