I’m so glad you feel that way CD 😘 it can totally make a meal feel more special. It also slows us down to actually enjoy our meals together-or even if alone. I am trying to make my lunch at work a little more special too!
I agree it’s the little things that can have a huge impact. I changed the frame on this small oil painting that my husband’s grandfather painted & now I am so in love with it! You always inspire me❤ Have a fantastic week!
Awww that’s so beautiful. Those are special memories to hold ❤️ Thank you for sharing, luv. I know these dinners with my Jerry are creating some of my favorite memories.
Hi Christina, thank you for the great suggestions! I've never been a January fan! lol These "little things" are so important, especially the door mat!! xoxo Nicole
Yes Nicole! It's the little things that add up to make a big impact on your home and how you feel in it. 🤗 The doormat and the cutlery are the most overlooked IMO. It’s so easy to be in “ground hog day” mode with these two and totally loose sight of the subconscious impact.
Hi Christina, January always feels so long. I'm happy that each day we get a little more daylight. I live in Alberta, and in the past week, we've gone from plus 8 to -30. I am so looking forward to spring. I also wanted to comment on your last video...I loved all of the images and especially loved how you walked the viewer through them. I really enjoy what you are doing and am so glad that you are here!
That sounds tough! I hope that spring comes a little early for you🌷 PS I'm so happy you're here Shaun 🤗 PSS those little incremental increases in light in the best feeling 🌇
Hi Christina! Thank you for this beautiful video , those are some amazing ideas ! I was just shopping for linen curtains for my living room this afternoon...Here in Quebec Canada the winter is so long !!! it's minus 22degrees Celsius, so I bought myself beautiful pink tulips and they bring me so much joy🙂 Take care beautiful! Much love 💕🙏🏻
🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷Wow Marie, I love that you bought yourself something to bring in the optimism of spring. Also Shaun in our comments is also in Canada and I sent him a pink tulip and a wish for an early spring-then I read your message. What a lovely synchronicity ✨
Hi Christina, love this! When I think about it, last year around this time, I upgraded some small/big things in my home, in the area's you mentioned. I switched out a small and dated table lamp, that was also broken, with a Danish vintage one, that I now love very much. I have no nice plates and tableware, but last year I bought myself a special handmade ceramic mug, for special moments on my own. I also have a set of mugs I bought when I was on vacation with my boyfriend, and we always drink coffee with them together, but the other mug is really for "me time". Together with it, I bought a small set of design teaspoons, by the house of Alessi. Each teaspoon is designed by a different designer. And still quite affordable. My boyfriend suggested I would give each one a name. Thought it was a great idea! For this year the spring changes are not so much decorative, but more about decluttering and organizing. Especially my closets.That also brings more light in my heart. And I have always fresh flowers in the house. For this time of year, but actually all the year around, I love white tulips. O yes, I bought a new cushion, just simply in my grocery store, under 10 euro's. I plan to make it a diy project and painting a graphic motive on it. Enjoy the light returning and be blessed!
Lol, am I the only one who thought January flew by? I'm in Wisconsin and we did have a deep freeze, but we started and ended the month quite warm, and we have no snow.....hardly feels like winter! I am adding a few new things as well ....just bought a second hand gold metal MCM sunburst style mirror (originally from hobby lobby) and it looks amazing above the fireplace. A refresh in Fall and Spring helps keep the house feeling alive and nurturing for sure! Thanks for the inspo Christina!!!;
Ooooh your starburst mirror sounds lovely and what a find! Lucky you that it flew by-of course it’s over now for us all 🙌 and we are one month closer to spring!!! Yeah 🌷💗🌱🧹🧽🧼
So true about setting the table. Especially when you take the time to cook a special meal.

PS i hope you enjoy your week too, Janice 😘
I had a Jerry and he was a diner. He made a meal an event. Jerry's past now, but how I miss those times and conversations we had.
Awww that’s so beautiful. Those are special memories to hold ❤️ Thank you for sharing, luv.
