    Not a dog, but Bernard repeatedly had paw infections and always favored one front leg. He had cancer. It's best to get a vet to do bloodwork and whatever tests they need to do to root out the problem.

      That’s my biggest fear!

      @@tsanatolians7255 yes. Hindsight is 20/20. I feel really bad that Bernard suffered so long. When Stanley goes to get fixed, I'm going to tell the vet to test him for everything so we can make sure he didn't decide to come in because he felt really sickly.

      @@tsanatolians7255I’m not a homesteader, yet truly enjoy your channel and extremely large babies.😊 Ok, I have two 12 pound poodles so that’s my go-to adjective😀. I’m so sorry Shiloh is in pain. I had NO true idea how large he was until you had him stand next to you. He is just beautiful. If it’s okay, I’ll say a prayer for him. Hopefully the vet will find time for him as soon as possible. You’re the nurse, but I’m hoping he went into a hole while chasing the bad guys and it just needs rest and meds. Could there possibly be a canine-friendly herb capsule or a dried one to sprinkle in his food for swelling? Take care and kiss him again for us - Tracy 🌺

      @@30yrsanddone94 I’m definitely looking into natural treatments; I hate having to give “medicine” regularly! Yes we welcome the prayers!! We walk by faith everyday here, so prays keep us going! Thank you so much for your kind words! And those poodles can count as the start of your homestead. 🫶

    You know when we recently had our horrible crisis, I will say that Curcumin helped us a lot with his pain and NAC helped with swelling and calming him. We also used CBD to help him relax and sleep at night. I am so sorry. I found a good article on dog naturally website for pain. Hope he improves soon. He’s probably too old for panostitis, but when our guy got it, similar symptoms. 🥺

      How much of all those meds did you give? I’ll try anything!

      Yes ma’am, that’s exactly how I felt. And I know some pharmaceuticals can actually exacerbate some of the issues because they tear down the gut flora. Are used high-dose vitamin C like a tablespoon and some filtered water with just a pinch of baking soda probably three-quarter cups of water. I would mix that up and then draw up like 5 mL of it I just shoot it down the throat. I did that 3 to 4 times a day at the onset and then finally back down to two or three when things kind of settled. Now I forgot to mention the B3 I would just open a 500 mg niacinamide and add it to that mix before I dosed it. The CBD goes by weight and you can actually buy one that specific for dogs but I studied up on it and apparently they can take the one that humans take too. And I’m telling you my husband said it doesn’t take the pain totally away but it makes you think it’s not near as bad and you’re going to be OK. And I noticed every time we gave it to our guy he was just really calm down. I could tell he was eased. I’ll order mine from Bluebird Botanicals, but I think you can probably find some locally. I just know it’s like a lot of things you have to watch out for the quality and I know Bluebird is a good quality. And of course I pray for you guys all the time and will continue… Love and hugs from Texas. Evelyn

      @@evelyny7037 thank you my friend! How much turmeric did you give?

    • @evelyny7037
      @evelyny7037 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have two different kinds that I use. The one I used during that time was by Terry naturally and it was curcumin extra strength. The other one that I just bought is by Gaia and it is turmeric supreme extra strength. If it was a tablet I just gave one along with everything else I was giving couple times a day, but that depended on what the bottle said I could use. That article was on the dog naturally website. If I get a chance I’ll try to find it and send it to you. Hope that helps my friend! And the CBD oil I just gave as much as it took to relax him and of course I’m sure you know that the more stressed they are, it usually ups the demand. And then I tapered off. That really helped a lot too.
