Where about in Michigan are you from? I live in holland and there are a few cold water streams that are about 15 miles south of me that hold browns, brookies and steelhead. But I haven't had much luck finding new water....

I volunteered with a Michigan chapter of TU (in the lower peninsula) some years ago. We performed an electroshock survey in the home stream (a small river; I would call it a nice creek, very similar to this stream). Caught, measured, clipped a fin, and released. All browns, 4"/6"/8" but... we pulled two 20" browns out of that particular section. I would never have believed it if I had not seen them with my own eyes. Nice job Crouse. jc

You can catch some nice browns using size 0 or 1 too! Never think the lure is too small. Sometimes micro fishing is the best way

I’ve started to get into fishing by myself over the last few years as no one else in my family fishes or anything like that. I live in Michigan and normally just bass fish but fly fishing is something I’ve wanted to get into since there are a lot of small creeks near my area. To be honest, I did not know you could catch trout in small creeks with spinners so I will definitely be trying this the coming week.
