Thank you for posting that detailed video, which I found honest and helpful. I am trying to stop feeling shame around eating too much and my weight. It really helps to just accept my current circumstances and love myself as I would love any overweight friend or family member, whose weight has no impact on my feelings or respect for them. I just realized as I was listening, it wasn’t until i became overweight that I started to refer to any overeating I did as binging. It was just feasting, or overeating during a holiday, or something like that, before that time. The overweight appears to be partly a menopause thing, and just focusing on my health helps my self-esteem more than anything, no matter what I feel about the extra weight. Also I found helpful the idea of asking myself if I will feel better after I eat something (when I’m not physically hungry). That might actually nip some of my binge eating in the bud if I can pause long enough. I also appreciate the gratitude hack, which I am going to do as my own stretch.
