Sorry for the shaky footage. It was super windy that day, will get it right next time. Huge thanks to Georg Raab & the Flying-Legends crew. Visit: www.flying-legends.eu
USNR pilots - WWII - reporting to fleet squadrons must have loved the Hellcat's landing manner (compared to the difficult (er - scary) F4U....................
This is a stunningly cool video! Well done the Pilot and Helpers, and well done the Videographer! Thank you so very much for your obviously favourite maneuverer (twice!), inverted energy swap. Upside down in your Corsair F4U-5NL “Devotion”, where else would you want to be?
I guess you are referring to the attached ladder/step? That is pulled in automatically with the landing gear going up. If you look closely you can see it at 3:25 .
CGI is now a fact of life in film nowadays...l think you should concentrate more on the men who flew these aircraft in combat. In Fact, Steve Hinton did the flying with the two main actors seated in the rear of a Hawker Seafury for the in cockpit shots..also real Bearcats and Corsairs were used besides the use of CGI...

F4u corsair one of the best plane during the korean war
My dude, your videos are perfect. Everything we want and nothing we don't.
Thanks! @@JPR3D
Certainly no complaints about the quality of the sound!
I'm korean and i like this plane!
I do love the Corsair, one of the most elegant radial-engined fighters! But for some reason, I love the stocky Hellcat even more. 😊

The groundcrew shows him the chocks after he's rolling. Classic.
Mal wieder sehr schön dokumentiert.
Thanks for the description above. I've seen a lot of F4U's but not this one b/4. It's a beauty; like the 20mm guns too.
Very Cool Sound
Gorgeous !
-5 variant - probably the best Corsair of them all.

Very nice plane and filming, have a Good Day !
Danke für das coole Video!
That is a fine looking bird of prey.
Flew with his foot hold still down, tut tut

Reminds me of the Tomcat
At what altitude does the Corsair reach its maximum possible achievable True Airspeed in straight and level flight? Does anyone know? Thanks.
Would i see a P51 D Mustang Aint Misbehaving and a Pilatus P2 05 ( Indiana Jones ) Start up.
👍🏽
Remember to turn your propeller 7 times to get the oil out of piston chamber 🚜🚛✌️
No worries, they take care of that 😉
I don't like the name referencing a modern, dumb CGI-festival movie. How about historically-accurate color schemes only?
