Nice mods half people that comment have no idea how winches work even if didn't work you could add pawl to lock the gear and you could still use pin pair vise grips to locking down. 90% of time engine is going to be right side up or top side down but when putting heads on 35 to 45 degrees it's not spinning around on it own. Great stuff ,no matter what it's pain in ass to mount engine to engine stand off cherry Picker over head hoist is so much better.
I think I have at least 3 engine stands and no desire for a 4th with a crank, but I am heading off to get the crank assembly in a few minutes. Thanks I like taking the "attachment" part out and bolting that to the engine, then swinging that to fit the receiver, but if you weld it up, it is what it is.
Well done in the back yard.
I appreciate you addressing the questions and comments raised in your earlier build video.

Slot the holes on the bracket that way you can preload the gears and eliminate the washers
Thank you for the update!
I was gonna say allthread and nuts but I actually like your bolts with jamb nuts better
Make sure you have a full load on the device when you align the gear assembly
I think having the worm gear mounted on top would eliminate most of that slop.
You just now figuring that out damn it man we did this in 8th grade shop class in 2003 no shit. Lol boy thinks he just invented something lol 😂
LoL
It needs rollers
You need a hoise
Just buy the geared ones at jegs 269 dollars
Why isn't he just putting the engine on it
The shorts and flip flops kinda explain that, right?
Worked on them for 35 years. Junk
The engines always sag
Looks like it has tons of play. FAIL !!!
well, it was fun and it works, and it was under $200....
Winning!
