Imagine you all know but: RIP Brit Turner... damn we will miss Brit beyond belief. 3 March 2024. Tears as I write. Every clip with Brit will be in our hearts. Thanks Jeff.
I got to hang out with them in 2006 in Marysville Ohio. Charlie, Brit, and me stood out and watched the Honda motorcycle parade. Got to hang out with all of them and they are the best fuckin brothers you will ever meet! Now they are one of the best fuckin bands you will ever see! Rock and Roll my brothers!
Said by the first generation of Southern rock bands to Blackberry Smoke - "From failing hands we throw the torch, be yours to hold it high". These guys do a admirable job of doing just that. Kudos.
I'm a first-timer hearing Blackberry Smoke. What a nice cover of Statesboro Blues. Living in Statesboro GA, I have heard a lot of covers.....I liked them all. Great job, gentlemen.
After "Little Piece of Dixie" album go straight into "Whippoorwill". They are both great albums start to finish. Welcome to the BBS family. I'm a relative newbie at 4 years.
My preacher recommended I catch them at Wanee Fest in Florida in 2014. Catch them whenever they are close. 3 times in Texas and 3 in Florida. Last month in Jacksonville, FL where they did a semi-acoustic show was smokin'. Catch them if you can!!!
The Smoke pays an awesome homage to one of the greatest southern rock bands the slide guitarist makes Duane proud and the lead singer is as close as you get to Greg God bless you all

Probably the most faithful version to the one made famous by the Allmans that I've ever heard, including the vocals. In addition to the great licks, that dude has the slide tone down with that Gibson SG. But how many bands do you see where two guys are playing Gibson 335 style guitars? Great sounds.
I thought it looked like Drew Smithers. We saw them open for BBS in Key West as a member of Bishop Gunn. He's currently touring with Jaimo doing an Allman Brothers tribute.
If anybody didn't catch you on to that little scenario though I said hey Joe go to bed and turn your lamp down low because it's past your bedtime you getting too old for this stuff
OMG ... That would have been amazing had it not been recorded with a junk shoe phone/ apple smart ass phone ... Too bad it sounds like it was recorded through a straw
You see how hard it is to be legendary? There's no depth, no dimension, just some guys making music, but the Allman Brothers are playing music. I wouldn't pay to see this nor would I sit through it. Not saying they are bad, just saying they're not good.
@@robertdillon9989 a guy who machines train wheels for thirty or fifty years does not make a machinist. You don't have to be a lawyer to understand language or letter of the law. Whether I have never played in a band or play the musical instrument or played for 100 years, doesn't change the fact that this cover band, in comparison to the real deal and from a musical standpoint itself are in fact very 1 dimensional... You're 50 years of supposed expertise only makes you look stupid because apparently you have no musical ear. I've studied music unlike most musicians, and it doesn't surprise me that you don't know what the hell you're talking about. No, I am not going to re listen to what I already know I heard and in retrospect, judged fairly in jurisprudence of what would be fair. You know, OBVIOUS SHIT, it's a TH-cam video, recording and or sound discrepancies ie; tone.... And that right there is a distinction first and foremost where I concluded and therefore stopped after 1 minute when already convinced at 40 seconds.... That is giving the benefit of doubt way too much compromise that opens up doors to Boogeyman in the mind.... Are my ears fooling me? I don't even hold it in any kind of distinction like let's say the vocal side when we compare Elvis to the best impersonators. Personally even the best, miss the mark, by Miles, but at least with them I can find something tangible to work with. Here, let's just slap dickey Betts in the face with your shit pie....go ahead, I'll wait in the car..

We lost a legend 😢
@@jeffwilmont420 So true. BBS will continue according to Charlie. Thank goodness! Best from France.

The Smoke is carrying the torch in mighty fine fashion. Paying a high level of reverence to the greats that preceded them. Amen.

The Smoke pays an awesome homage to one of the greatest southern rock bands the slide guitarist makes Duane proud and the lead singer is as close as you get to Greg God bless you all

My opinion is the opposite after 50 years as a musician , opinions are like body parts… you can play with yours…
