Thank you for watching! I would love to do more, but I unfortunately just graduated from Kyushu University and am back home in America! I'll still be making videos, though!
Thank you for your comment! I am doing my best to give people a good insight as to what life is like as a student here, so I am happy when viewers can extract value from my videos! Enjoy your visit, and safe travels!
Thank you for watching! I am no longer in Japan as I graduated from my program, but I did make one more video on shopping! It has the prices in there, and it is a much better place to go shopping as well! I hope you can watch it and get some value from it! th-cam.com/video/fOIUy2oyfn8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CD1deyON2Tmi_Kku
It's not difficult at all! It's a straight shot from campus, and almost entirely downhill or on flat terrain! The hard part is getting back up the hill 😂 It only takes about 12-15 minutes to get there though! I like to pedal fast, so maybe closer to 15-17 for a more leisurely ride!
Unfortunately, I do not, but if you have any specific questions, perhaps I can reach out to some students or faculty who might be able to help me answer. Awesome pfp btw!
@@JakeyInJapan Thnx I appreciate the kindness. Im a student from the Netherlands in the second year of my bachelor. In the 4th year during the fall/winter semester i can either study a semester in the Netherlands which is called a "Minor" (instead of majoring, minoring i think?) or do a semester as an exchange student. Im from the faculty of "IT and Life sciences" and im majoring in "Communication & Multimedia Design" i'd asume the "faculty of design" in Kyushu University would line up with the contents of my study which would take place in the Ohashi campus. A prof from my international bureau said that he has connections/alumni for me to connect with but if you happen to know anything about that or just the application process/visa/paperwork/etc id love to know. But please dont go out of your way to help some random person on the internet :P
I am happy to help, no worries at all! So, I am not too familiar with the way the exchange programs work at Kyushu University, as I am only a part of the Japan in Today's World (JTW) program, so my scope is a bit narrow, apologies. I know there is an International Undergraduate Program for Engineering (IUPE), as well as a research lab opportunity (ISP/ALR). However, all of those programs are at the Ito campus, so I am not sure if they are at Ohashi as well. I found a link from the International Affairs Department that you may have already come across, but I will share it nonetheless: www.isc.kyushu-u.ac.jp/intlweb/en/admission/exchangetop I think taking advantage of the connections you have through your professor would give you the greatest opportunity of obtaining the best guidance, but if you have trouble with that and need help, please don't hesitate to reach back out! I have some ideas of whom I might be able to get you in touch with as well. And as for the visa and paperwork, I can offer my best answers to your questions if you have any, but coming from the US into the JTW program, my process may differ slightly. I can say this: HAVE PATIENCE. It is a slow application process, and they love to take their time. They are inundated with tons of applicants, and their timelines often reflect that, at least for JTW. Best of luck though, and I hope you get the chance to visit! KyuDai is a wonderful school, and I know you'd love it!
@@JakeyInJapan Thank you for such a grand response. For me its still 2 years until the semester but im busy with orientation and have a some sources for who i should contact. If i come across anything where im stuck and my peers/profs cant help then ill definitely reach out. Thank you for the kindness!
I am fortunate enough to have the American Dollar against a continually weakening Japanese Yen. The prices back in America for me seem insanely high compared to the Japanese prices, so I am scared to go back haha!
Thanks for sharing, please do more shopping vlog near university ❤

Is it difficult to bike from the dormitory to the shopping mall, or supermarket? How long does it take to get there?

Do you know anything about living in dorms in the Chikushi international house or Ijiri International House?

For my country's point of view, that's a lot of money.😅😅
