I can tell she’s trained herself on how to respond to the questions relating to Josh, so that she can go into auto-pilot instead of actually re-feeling that trauma while she answers on such a public platform. I know this is a big part of her story, but I also feel it must be hard to say “this is a subject that is still very difficult to talk about” and then receive a lot of questions specifically related to that. She is one strong lady. I have the utmost respect for her growth and maturity.

I wonder about the mental health of her siblings. I mean how they are dealing with this and if they've been able to move on from what this preacher and Josh did to the family. Jinger and her sisters that were the oldest seemed close when the show was on. But that's a long time ago and the girls got married and started having their babies. I don't remember much about the boys, except Josh. I think the rest of the boys were younger.

@@nancydemoss2945 I think her parents weren’t as bad as it’s made out to be. They traveled to great places and had an expensive home and a good life as far as having everything they needed. Yeah the parents required the girls to wear dresses and no makeup but that’s better than the parents who don’t care. And Josh is disgusting but he’s only one not the whole family. He can change if he works at it.

She shouldn't have to be a Christian unless she chooses it though. Jeremy is a very strong personality and it seems like Jinger is following all of Jeremy's beliefs now, just like she did her dad's beliefs. She's doing just what she was taught by the IBLP cult, which is when a woman gets married her father transfers his authority to her husband and she must then do as her husband says. Isn't that what she's doing? Would Jeremy be fine with jinger becoming, for example, a Catholic? I bet he wouldn't! He expects her to believe as he believes.

The show should be kinder towards its guests in that regard. Just my opinion.

I watched the show and admired how efficiently the family was being raised. How well mannered and obedient they all were. But I also saw how demanding and selfish Jim Bob & Michelle were particularly with the older girls. While Michelle felt it was her job to continue having children every year, it was the older girls who were doing most of the work in taking care of all those kids. All those rules they were living their lives by were so ridiculous for this day and age. I commend Jinger for speaking out and realizing that the truth shall set you free.

Tamron is a journalist & part of her job is asking the tough questions. It’s important to address the elephant in the room so to speak. I’m sure the guest was aware of this prior to coming on the show & the host would have made it clear to the audience that those questions wouldn’t be addressed if the guest refused to answer those questions ahead of time as an agreement before coming on the show.

Some day, there's going to be a real bombshell about Jana. I wonder if he did more to her than any of the others and that's the reason she remains single. Or if it's because she's been so brainwashed to believe that it's her "duty" to remain at home and be a "second mother" to all the children. So sad that she has never been allowed to live a full life outside and away from these sick people. I'm glad to hear Jinger say she hasn't spoken to Josh in years. Good for her. He deserves no pity. Nor does Anna (his wife). She's as delusional as the rest of them.

I’m proud of her for articulating her words so eloquently. It’s awesome that she talks about how that man’s teachings are not what the Bible teaches and how she hopes people can have a balanced view of God. The Bible isn’t the problem it’s how people have twisted it to fit it into their disgusting mind control over others. God does not teach to fear him out of fear of punishment. James 1:13
He teaches us to get to know him & to only love Him genuinely only if we want to. With that genuine love comes the “fear” of hurting him if we make choices that go against what he’s taught us, just like you would not want to hurt a close friend or family member. It isn’t because you’re afraid of them punishing you. That wouldn’t be genuine.
