That last tip was definitely interesting to learn. There’s a huge demand in my area. Some are huge companies that pay more and some are smaller but this tip made me feel better about the smaller one reaching out to me first.
Hi thank you for the tips on this video, that will be real helpful for me. I'm just now getting into the RBT field. I just finished my 40hr training so can you tell me how do I get to the next step? Which I believe is taking the Competency Assessment test..but who do I go to..where and how? There's not alot of information out there on that part so, your guidance would be truly helpful right now (I'm just like stuck in limbo). I read you must be employed with the BCBA that will test you, but if that's true how do I go about doing that? Also, it would be really helpful to new potential RBT's such as myself if you can do a video on that and more information regarding RBTs (besides BCBA content). Look forward to hearing back from you, thanks.
You just need to start applying to companies that are hiring! Let them know about your 40 hour cert. It is correct that you must be employed for the competency assessment.
@@YourABAhelp As I been researching these companies I've noticed a few saying in the description "Guaranteed work or "guaranteed full time hrs"..what's the tea on that? Is that a common thing getting into this field or to get full time hrs or guaranteed work is it best to work for larger ABA clinics or smaller?
I just got my 40 hour training certificate, and I'm not sure if I need to be hired to do my initial assessment, could you help me make it clear? than you!

This is super helpful, thankful. I am a BT working towards RBT. How do I go about preparing for the RBT exam?
Study for sure! Practice your fluency and test taking skills by doing mocks. Use the “ABA” language outside of session and apply it to everyday stuff.

@@YourABAhelp ohhhh okay...I was so confused about that part. Thank you
Tips on sending resumes over with no RBT experience or even working with children with special needs (if you have any)?
Use RBT/ABA keywords, get your 40-hour training ahead of time only if you are struggling to get a job. Apply to a ton of places.

You must be employed by the company you are getting the assessment through and the client needs to be a part of the organization.
@@YourABAhelp thank you so much!!!❤
