I got these when they came out. Best shoes I've owned! These were the shit. Still are!
The actual dmx in the the shoe is AMAZING. It changed my life when I was a kid. and I'll tell you what; I just returned the retro Answer IV's last week because the dmx was missing. its a shame
Had them in this exact colourway and I rocked them on outdoor till the outsoles're worn and the air chambers burst. The interlinked chamber cushioning setup was a really comfortable ride. Love them.
I had these back in the days I loved when I walked in them and felt the bubbles popping lol

I actually had the original of that same shoe back when it first came out. Those were comfortable as hell. And u can really feel the DMX working. Would love to see these retro again.

One of my most memorable shoes growing up. I had those my freshman year of high school. The quality of those shoes was insane! The DMX system was great. I hope the quality of the retro this year is as good.
I had the blue leather color way of these in hs, probably the 1st or 2nd favorite shoe I owned then. And surely the most comfortable
I still got theese, great winter stompers! Good traction, sticky rubber and that IVERSON in gold all down the tongue, super classic shoe, no 2 after The Question 1.
nice ive had mine the same exact ones for who know how long now ive never ever worn them though but def one of my favorites of all time.

I remember these. I bought all three pairs (Black, Red, and Navy) at Just for Feet When they were still open. Like you said, they were an acquired taste. I got them a year or 2 after they came out for I think 40.00 a pair. If they ever come out again I will be first in line for them. Thanks for bringing back the great memories I had of these. One of my favorite pairs of shoes (Next to the Air Pippen 1s).

I had the questions-answer 4. Was a huge Iverson fan growing up and passed up on Jordan's to get iversons. They may not have been considered heat to everyone else but these definitely bring back those nostalgic feelings of being a kid and molding my game after his.
I feel your excitement bro. My captain back in high school wore answer 1 in every competition. He uses a hyperdunk for practice but he said that answer 1 is his lucky shoes

Great work my man. At the start of the video I thought those kicks were absolutely wack, but by the end, they definitely grew on me. Iverson was one of my favorite players, his crossover was soooo nasty. And he had a swagger that nobody else had.

I have the Answer 1 White/Red (one shown in the booklet) from '97 and I have to say it is the best made shoe I've ever had. They are one of my most worn shoes and they are in GREAT condition. They do get midsole seperation so a little glue here and there but nothing serious, i love them. I just got this black/gold colorway off ebay today
i wish that they would retro the answer 1s. so many memories with the white and red pair. i practiced those crossovers like crazy till i was able to do them right. awesome pick up bro. i just love that 1

I had these babies way back highs chool! They're the most comfortable shoes I ever worn on the court till now...I'm a huge Iverson fan too! The only con I experienced with these shoes is the sole's wear and tear coz I play with em out doors so maybe they're for indoors I guess...

Really enjoy this review...Had a pair when i was in 4th grade. I do agree though, the DMX now is no where compared to when it was introduce back then
I remember when those came out when I was in high school. I didn't know who Iverson was, but I got them shoes because they felt SO GOOD!!! When I wore them to the basketball court, they actually enhanced my performance tremendously. Until this day, I've never found another pair of shoes that matched the performance of these. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the air leaked out of the DMX system after only two months of wearing them :(

I'm posting this on a newer video so you'll see the comment hopefully. But big ups for the tip to add an extra insole to some shoes like the son mars and the AJ 6. I got a pair of mars and I added my super thin nike free insole on top of the stock one and it gives you a great fit

Yeah man, once in a while I would find a pair on eBay in my sz but then the seller would want some crazy price for them so I never pulled the trigger. Let me know what they have at your spot and I may clean them out lol.

I remember having these as a kid thinking I was the coolest kid in the world.
When I played college basketball our coach announced we were getting team shoes and when the assistant coach said they were going to be Reeboks and me being a sneaker head (the only one on the team btw) stood right up in protest...I had no filter at this moment in time but it was funny because I looked like an unappreciative ass-hat! Our team shoes were Reebok DMX lol.......And yes they were comfortable as hell out on the floor! They were a descent shoe to ball in!
I know about those things already, they are visually apparent. Plus all of the tech specs on the shoe have been revealed and I go over this stuff on my website all the time so this is nothing new to me. Appreciate the support!
