They probably will but expect them to make then cheap with no zoom air like they did the jumpman pro , Nike is ridiculous

Such an awesome interview. Please get more designers on the show to talk about their process. You’re the best person to ask those questions as a Bball sneaker geek. Thanks for featuring this shoe and the designer

Wow, what an awesome and unexpected video! I’m hoping more designers pick up on the public wanting to know the stories behind their designs and become more transparent. Especially since many have moved onto other companies.

This video most likely jumped to the top of my favorite WearTesters videos. As a kid growing up during the era of these Pippens and Pennys, this interview had me geeked out. Pippen sneakers were one of the sneakers that found really cool during those times especially that Pippen 2. I remember watching Pippen missing the potential game-tying three in Game 1 of the '98 Finals wearing those, and throwing his gum on the floor. More power to you, guys! Always a fan.

And this is the reason you have the best sneaker channel. Bringing the history to an underrated yet not forgotten sneaker. I had the OG Blues in 1998. Thanks, Chris.

I've been around this channel for a very long time now, and this ranks up there as one of my favorite videos in channel history!
I would love to see this shoe get the treatment that the Zoom GP did back in 2019.

Awesome awesome interview! I never knew how much work went into producing these shoes but I love how Aaron infused Scottie’s personality in his shoes. I wish they’d retro the Pippen 1s and 2s. I’ve never been able to own a pair but they would be special in my collection.

From the mid-late 90's, Nike could do no wrong, especially with their basketball sneakers. I wanted these Pips a lot back in '98/99, but I wanted the Jordan 13's and 14's more lol.

I loved the interview, I was trying not to geek out as well. I lived in Chicago during the whole jordan pippen run. The look of this shoe is amazing. The comment about Nike wanting people to buy their shoes and not price gauge kinda made me smirk. Like really Nike. Keep up the great work Chris, hope to see more interviews as well.

I really fell in love with this shoe from the moment I saw them on the first issue of Kicks or through the last pages of Slam where they showcase what are the latest shoes go'n be out in the market. I used to draw this model at the back of my notebook during class and would always check and wear test my friend's own black & white pair, and he also have the og white & blue pair to match with their uni's, as somehow their school were sponsored by Nike. Hopefully Nike would bring 'em og colorways back as I'd really love to own one of em especially the black & white pair. Thank you for showing some mad love as well on these bad boys, as these didn't get as much love as it deserves. I really thought they'd retroed it again, when I saw it in your page/channel, I just got so excited about it, haha! Awesome content as always and cool interview with A.C. for giving us some details on how it went down back then. 💯❤️

Had the OG Pip 1. Really cool, underrated line. Maybe someday we'll get a retro Pippen 1 PE with Zoom and Pippen 2 playoff.

This shoe is one of my many Great White Buffalos. I was gearing up for Steve Kerr’s basketball camp in Tucson, AZ one summer and my grandma let me choose my shoe at Foot Locker: it was between the Pippen 2’s and the OG colorways of the Griffey Max 3’s.
Griff was my favorite player at the time, didn’t think about BBall performance. I regret not getting the Pippens to this day…

Great content Chris! love the interview, with all the history and storytelling behind the shoe, you can't get this in depth info other than from the designer themselves. never liked the Pippen 2s when it released specially since i thought the Pippen 1 was an awesome debut signature shoe and had hoped that the follow up shoe would be in the same design aesthetic-wise. but I have deeper appreciation now after learning about its history and tech specs. you deliver the best story telling when it comes to the history of basketball shoes.

I wore J's every year on court since '89, but I missed out on the Pip's here locally in Oz. If Nike released those Zoom Pippen 3 again with full zoom air, I would buy those even now to hoop in for sure! I think they're one of the best looking bball sneakers ever made, remind me of the Jordan 10 Chicago.
I would love to see how they perform on court, so come on Nike, please retro the Zoom Pip's! 🙂

Dude…I had the black ones back in 98 and bar none, it IS one of the greatest hoop shoes ever!!! I have the black Jordan 1 Centre Courts and the leather is VERY similar in texture and quality…PIPs might have had thicker cuts but it was very close. Great performers and I can’t believe they haven’t retro’d that colorway…with all of Pips wacky takes, I’d be surprised if we ever see a Nike Pippen release again. Great vid Chris!
