Your Tomshoo is similar to the Ohuhu stove , but you can feed fuel to your stove easily while it is burning ,unlike the Ohuhu . The Tomshoo is still slightly less expensive on Amazon and many folks are spending 3 times as much for small stoves which work no better than the Tomshoo & Ohuhu /aprox $22.00 - $28.00.
Thanks for your video and all the best.

Good video. I have an almost identical stove. But I have modified it. Now that wood gas stove is a multi-fuel stove

When I saw the very recent date for this post, I was hopeful that accurate info would be put out there for how this stove is intended to be set-up, loaded, ignited and used. Unfortunately, it appears that the very few previous posts in recent years were not reviewed and incorporated in this video.
However, some aspects of the video were useful, such as the disassembly of the hot stove and drowning of the hot coals.
So, what should be in the video for this efficient wood-gas stove, but wasn’t?
Well, to start at the beginning, how do you load the stove for the most consistent, efficient, and longest lasting burn?
It’s long been established that a vertical stack of approximately one inch diameter, split or round hard wood pieces, exactly three inches long, is best. Then when this vertical stack of 8 to 10 pieces is in place, the ignition burn on top is started.
Yes, start the burn on top of the vertical stack. Often called a TLUD burn. Starting things this way, will result in a very long burn that requires no tending or additional fuel. It also will leave you with approximately twenty minutes of very hot coals, and no flames.
This brings up the the subject of grilling, and use of the included grill. To perform any grilling, one must wait until all flames have died down. Then remove the crossbars, and the entire pot-stand, and place the grill directly on the large diameter stove-top. Doing it this way will provide a large, stable grilling area with even high heat. The coals from this “TLUD” burn should last a good twenty minutes.
On a three day two night trip, when the stove is used approximately four times, all I do for cleaning and repacking, is a vigorous wiping with a section of paper toweling. The only exception being that if the stove had ashes still in it, and it got left out, and got wet for several hours, then, with an also packed, stainless steel scrubber pad, I thoroughly and vigorously scrub every surface, and afterwards, coat things with a WD-40 soaked piece of a microfiber cleaning rag (also packed and kept in a ziplock sandwich bag, then pack it away.
Since this stove collapses down to fit inside the pot, it turns out to be the most compact, functionally useful, lightest weight for a full sized stove, best pot supporting, and durable stove available regardless of price or sophistication of build. It’s amazing that you get all this for the ridiculously low price of $ 25. ‘Nuff said. Robert Shirley

One inch diameter seems big but I’ll give it a go.
I’ve not tried it but wood pellets also work well.

@@redpillnibbler4423 Wood pellets are the most consistent because it controls for the type of wood and moisture content of the wood. The one-inch diameter Robert Shirley mentions will give a longer, slower burn (depending on how dry the wood and the type of wood used).
