These Little Stoves Are Cool, And Light Weight I get That. But For Me As A Camper, I Am Old School, I Like To Build A Big Fire And Only Cook On My Cast Iron Pan, But Those little Burners Are Cool.
Yeah, I get it. For me, I'm always on the run so I love being able to get a billy on the boil in no time wherever I want. Also, in a lot of our national parks and reserves, fires are prohibited, so these little stoves are amazing to cook up some tucker or a brew. :)
I have that pot & love it, for the same reason, everything fits nicely inside, tho mine is branded Boundless Voyage, and my usual setup is alcohol, unless it's campfire 🔥 ban season, then yes 100g canister stove + BRS-3000t AND a s/s windscreen from Flat Cat Gear, the Ocelot, everything fits inside except the tripod, so i stick it on top in the nylon mesh bag, and a couple carbon fiber mesh trivets, one wrapped in aluminum foil to serve as my main heat pad, protects my wife's precious plastic tablecloth, (happy wife happy life😅) when I'm cooking inside, testing a new recipe etc. Campfire 🔥 ban lifted a few weeks ago, and I'm back with my alcohol system: the Goshawk Ti multi-fuel wood-gas burner EDDY-200 Pioneer stove/pot stand with Lixada siphon alcohol burner, 125ml fuel container, spork, lighter, home-made simmer ring & snuffer. Works as a twig stove, tho i prefer 1 cup of hardwood pellets & a squirt of alcohol to getter started, burns for 90 mins: 35 min active flame 🔥 55 min useable heat, good for simmering home-made miso soup 🍲
@@jelreviews I'm from Vancouver 🇨🇦, and yet got the Goshawk multi-fuel wood-gas burner from Australia 🦘 int'l shipping was $19 flat, it's now discontinued onto Pioneer 2.0 and their 2.0 pot looks pretty cool too
Re: fitting your x-cup in your jetboil zip, have you tried cutting off the innermost oval shaped rim on the inside of the lid that surrounds the coffee press hole? You can then place the gas stand in the pot first, right way up...then the gas cannister upside down, then burner upside down, then X cup upside down, the lid JUST fits on. You could also 3D print a custom lid for it like your Tom shoo pot,👍🏻
That's a good tip, although I'm hesitant to cut my Jetboil lid - but printing my own lid design sounds like a good alternative. Will have to try that out. Thanks :)

@@jelreviews I've also fitted a lifeventure collapsible cup on the bottom of my jetboil in place of the plastic cup/cover 👍🏻
