    This chap is so engaging and listenable on the topic of Irish music, he makes it look effortless. He even makes it appear as if the RISE 2 was specially developed for Irish music.

    The Seaboard is literally Back to the Future 2015 technology for a musician. Compact, extremely functional, comfortable, etc. etc. I've wanted this for so long, but it's just so darn expensive for my budget. Definitely planning this for the future though.

    I've been loving the seaboard Sundays videos! Just got a seaboard, and am slowly getting the hang of it. I was a tin whistle guy in our Irish band so the translation to a keyboard is quite something! Thank you for sharing this :)

    Awesome to see someone else enjoying the benefits of the lap friendly design of the Rise. It’s one of my fav things about it amongst many. Really helps you feel connected and one with the instrument with it on your lap like that which I think enhances how expressive you can get with it.

      I have one, but what's held me back recently are software bugs which I'm waiting on being worked out. There's a really annoying bug where shifting the octave around causes the patch to go silent until reloading it again. When that fix comes out, I'll post some vids :)

    • @JasonTurkMusic
      @JasonTurkMusic 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ChonkTek that's a pity. It's working flawlessly on my rise 2 with Equator 2. It holds any currently pressed notes at the current octave but any new notes are at the new octave. It's very quick. You can see me use it in the middle of a run of triplets on this video th-cam.com/video/M-OLLHspbVI/w-d-xo.html

    • @ChonkTek
      @ChonkTek 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JasonTurkMusic the problem isn't within Equator 2 as a standalone. It's when using it as a plugin within Live. Roli finally was able to duplicate the issue recently, so we are awaiting an update.

    @ChonkTek 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    At 2m mark, "having it on your lap is a game changer", but this isn't possible for PC users. MAC ONLY.
    I only say that because it's not lap friendly when a USB cable is sticking out the side (PC implementation of MIDI won't allow for Bluetooth connection).

    • @_just_saying
      @_just_saying หลายเดือนก่อน

      you can still put it on your lap with a USB cable attached.

      @ChonkTek 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JasonTurkMusicah, I see you ARE using a PC, so that requires the USB connection. Have you found a cable with a really short plug which doesn't extend outward much? We are concerned about having that plug bumped and the USB jack broken. If only Bluetooth were possible for PC...

    I know this is Roli channel, yet since lsd I've felt like our speakers all sound metallic and there is a large difference between acoustic natural sound vs synthetic artificial sounds.
    I really don't think it is the way we store audio, I think it is the way we use speakers to create soundwaves.
    I wonder if there is an alternative to the speaker

    • @ChonkTek
      @ChonkTek 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a difference between the sonics of vintage speakers and modern mass produced ones because of the alloys along the way... they don't have to be harsh sounding, but you just need to understand how to get the vintage tone which sounds organic, punchy, 3D...

    Казалось бы, купил такую клавиатуру и играй себе на здоровье. Все далеко не так. В реальности, это вы купили бампер от машины, а потом что бы на ней поехать, надо купить колеса, двигатель и сам кузов. Но это ещё не всё. Потом это надо собрать в одно целое залить масло, бензин и только тогда вы поедите. Вот такой же геморрой и здесь. Да играет, да все звучит, но не показана обратная сторона Луны.
