I like your thinking! The problem I run into on the mobilization price is like for those small garden tilling jobs. Just feels hard to charge over $150 for a small garden, but I look over and see their small 5 hp hand tiller and remind them they could be using that!
It is hard to tell how much area you had to mow based on the video. Definitely some difficult spots based on the terrain. I would say a $200 load/transport fee with current gas prices. Flat mowing I would say $75-$100. Since the hills/ditches add additional time and risk, for those areas $125-$150 would be acceptable in my mind. At the end, I heard you saying it would probably be $500, which allows for your transport fee (again not knowing how far you have to go, $200 may be a little high or might be a little low) and two to three hours of mowing brings you to the $500 price. Plus, you have to look what your area is willing to pay. Where our farm is located, you would be getting $50 an hour at best (realizing everyone has tractor and mower, so you can find someone willing to cut for that price). Go into town, you could get $75-$150/hr price range since there are only a few that may be equipped to do that type of work. The old supply and demand.
Just curious about how much that whole setup is. Been looking to get into similar work myself but i see prices all over the place and dont know a deal on equipment when i see it.
Kind of hard to say actually without going back and looking at my invoice. Tractor, loader, grapple, brush cutter, box blade, tiller, ballast box, 3rd/4th/5th function, 1 1/2” spacers, and 20’ trailer with 5k down came to about 41k. That was 11 months ago, and I’ve heard prices have gone up. I usually go online and just search for the price of new equipment and base the price of used equipment off of that plus condition and what I’m willing to pay. Thanks for watching!
300 bucks to mobilize 65 bucks an hour.

Thanks for the feedback Brad! I think $500 is a pretty fair price for this area.
Nice job 👍
Thanks Dean!
