@@OGSirSmokezAlot Cave divers have to first get open water and advanced scuba diving certifications and be at least 18 years of age. After that, you start with a cavern diver course, which lets you explore overhead environments and enter caverns while remaining in the light zone. Once comfortable I believe you just find a good cave instructor and go for it. Baby steps…
Hey Gus… That was phenomenal. Great camera work and so much of it was so crystal clear. The footage you got of "frozen rain" was absolutely fantastic. I said it in the last video and I'll say it again, the world that exists underground and underwater that the average person never thinks about and surely will never see is just beyond belief!!! But because of people like you who dive in these caves and bring their cameras, we know that it's absolutely real. Thanks for another great video.
I'm so sad that I'll never have the opportunity to dive someplace as incredibly beautiful as the *Glass Factory* in the Crystal Cave. My lifelong sinusitis eliminates diving as an activity that I may engage in. There's a part of me that's envious of Brian, Benjamin, and you, Gus. And, the other part of me that's incredibly grateful that the Dive Talk channel exists. That a man like Brian is willing to allow others access to these caves. And, that youse guys have the skills to both dive these caves, and are willing to take the time to film the dives so that others less fortunate may experience what you have seen. A *BIG THANK YOU* to Dive Talk!!!!!
Wow!😮 I agree with you Gus!! Best cave ever!!! If seeing this was within reach for me, I would seriously consider becoming a diver!! Thank you so much for sharing these awesome adventures with us. Im sure using a camera during these dives is a little bit of a distraction. I think of that every time I watch a dive video. It’s a little extra risk y’all take to share this beautiful underwater world with us, and I just want to say I really appreciate it.
Amazing, it's crazy what Mother Nature has done on this Planet. Thanks Gus for taking us non divers on this amazing journey with you guys. Just incredible footage you guys got.
Thank you so much for this. I’ve known about this cave for a long time now; it’s the ultimate goal for me to dive it one day. I’m really appreciative of the commentary and uncut footage, including the restriction towards the beginning. This cave is why I won’t consider anything other than a sidemount rebreather for my first CCR.
Wow the crystals in the cave is stunning and this is why it needs to be protected I'm not a diver wouldn't be able to now if I wanted to due to multiple health issues but I appreciate watching your videos to experience it via the screen thank you so much love and light from Scotland ❤️
Thanks Gus, really appreciate the view your giving us. I wish I could see this in person, it looks incredible, your right, pictures never do things like these justice! Looking forward to day 4!
Thank you for explaining the dive computer to us non-divers. I have always wondered what all the numbers indicated and have paused videos to try and understand when glimpses of the computer came up. Thank you. Oh, and what an awesome dive too. Thanks for taking us along.
I can’t imagine the feeling Brian had when seeing these caves for the first time! It’s absolutely amazing what nature can produce even in complete darkness! These caves are mind blowing! Thanks for sharing the experience with us!
I’m really glad places like this require significant training to access. Like you said in another cave video, thousands of people have been yet the area is completely preserved. I would definitely like to set this destination as a goal for a couple years down the line so I did not watch the really good part! Excited to get back into diving and will be starting more classes in June to work through different specialties.
This is going to be a good one. You guys are always doing amazing things. I love to watch you guys. Hope you have a fantastic day. Stay safe and have fun ❤❤❤
I would really like a video on the story behind the discovery and explorations of the crystal caves, and how Brian ended up as their guardian. These caves are incredible.
@S. M. That's a good question :o in real life it gets worse for me the older I get, and there's some movies or videos on yt I just can't watch... But dive talk makes it seem less intimidating and they are having fun, so I don't have any problems with most of their videos :o But there were some, where you could see how the divers (sorry can't remember who) took off their gears and squeezed through tight restrictions or had to wiggle back and forth... I can't watch that :o
@S. M. Yes, I don't really know why to be honest :o but it's so bad sometimes now that I can't sleep in a tent, and prefer to sleep outside on the floor hahaha (real life thing that happened a few months ago, it even started to rain and I couldn't go inside...). And sometimes, embarrassingly, when my head gets stuck in tighter clothes and my bf has to save me 🙈 I'm talking about this with my therapist though and she says that this might be influenced by a lot of other things, like anxiety, stress, and so on... So I hope once I get a grip on that it will be better again, as I love camping 😬 What about you? You said it started later in life, has it become wlrse since it started?
I'm a dry caver. Early divers broke the top ones off to be able to fit through which is a no no but it happened back in the day before cavers became as cave respectful as today. Cave etiquette says don't break anything just to be able to go farther. In a dry cave you touch NOTHING!!!!. the oils from your skin can cause the formation to stop growing. All of these formations formed before the cave filled with water.
Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. I love y’all channel. While I will never be a diver, I am fascinated with natures wonders and thru y’all I get to experience this beautiful gems. God bless you all
great video! thanks for sharing the dive computer screen, especially. as a non-diver thats super fascinating to me. do the dive computers ever have errors? i feel like i never hear any stories at all about them having errors, which is frankly amazing based on my interactions with every computer i've ever had! 😋 cheers
i will never cave dive or do any diving at all so im glad i get to see stuff like this from people like you XD really cool seeing those bats and knowing at one time this cave wasnt submerged and seeing more biological evidence of that instead of just geological evidence. i also get a kick at hearing you guys kinda talk to each other. it almost sounds like the teacher from charlie brown X'D
Not gonna lie gus u really should do more dive briefings! I'd definitely watch them show the more strenuous side of the diving scene ik u have showed some before but u could make a full Playlist of dive briefings for the dives
Very Cool Footage Gus!! I want to know. If you ever got freaked out like something bad may happen being deep in the Caves? I don't Dive. But I Really enjoy watching you and Woody.
Once someone gets cave certified, how good do you have to be to go to Abaco? Is is even allowed? This would be a bucket list dream for me. I love crystals in general.
Okay I've been watching your channel and I have to say I am hooked! But I do have a question, on the cave dive videos I have seen so far, there never are any fish! Is it the light that scares them off or is it that there really aren't fish in underwater cave systems?
I have a question for Gus or anybody that knows… When we talk about this cave "Crystal", is it like the crystal that's worth a lot of money that people give away for wedding gifts? Or is it different and unique to itself.... like just a "cave Crystal"? Either way it's gorgeous but I'm just curious. Thanks.
OK. I think what it is then is just water that has dissolved overlying limestone then redeposits calcium and stuff. It's not actually like "glass crystal". I should've known that. It was actually a dumb question now that I think about it. Thank you for the response.
Awesome, Do have a question: how you determine stack time for yr sorb, you put in 6h but most manufacturers would say 3@4? Because you know it’s going to be shallow and warm water? Or due to experience from Brian Kakuck? Also love how he places that tent on his own like it’s nothing 😂😍😍 Great job filming this 🙏🤯
