Trying to wrap this up in my own understanding, correct me if I’m wrong. Pray in faith and in obedience, not from emotion, but trusting in God that he will listen to you. He will answer your prayers but not necessarily when you want, and will do what you ask in his will not because of you demanding it from him.

Because I thought praying in the spirit means speaking in tongues- a gift I do not have. When you are going to read the Bible see it as a time that you will spend with the Lord, don’t just see it as a regular reading, or that you will read the Bible just to take it off your list. Reading the Word will teach you about God’s character, the things He likes and the things He doesn’t like. The more you spend time with God, the more you disconnect from the things that get you away from Him. Ask God with faith and that passion for Him will come, I’m a living testimony of that. I have faith that God will return my prodigal sons back to Christ. Both are agnostic and one of them converted to Muslim. I believe that God will turn them around and I thank Him for his perfect timing. I am sorry Lord that I got demanding when it didn’t go my way and my son got married and abandoned Bible studies and church despite me fasting in anger and shouting I wanted my son to come back. I learned my lesson that I can’t twist God’s arm.

You are SO CLEAR. Thank you! Your videos really just make me sit up and say, "YES, EXACTLY!" when talking about how you can discern a person's affect on you. And I was always so frustrated when I heard people say "Pray from your spirit!" I would say, "What the heck does that MEAN?" Now I know. If I'm getting you, it just means to pray from faith and not fear. I DO know God hears me. My life has been saved several times, and specific questions answered, one in a way where I "should" have died, but I didn't have a scratch, and the question was, "Will I be protected?" 10 minutes later, I was almost crushed to death in an accident but a 14-wheeler came from about 40 MPH to a complete stop in TWELVE FEET and didn't push me up against the truck that was in front of me. Road work on a curved road with NO warning cones or signs. He was what came around that corner next, and I'm stopped behind another big truck. 12 feet. I looked it up. That's "impossible." Not a scratch on me or my car in direct answer to "Will I be protected?" and I asked for an unmistakable sign that I would KNOW was from Him. (I don't advise doing that. lol) Thank you, David, you really are reaching me with your videos, and I hope someone gains encouragement from this story.
