  • Hi folks and welcome to my latest Full Build Video, the Takom Pz.kpfw.Ia in 1/16 scale.
I hope you guys enjoy the video, I refined my weathering and hairspray chipping a lot during the process, trying some new things and taking a few risks ( why play it safe? ) and I hope you find the quality of the work up to my usual standard.
In fact I'm working hard on eradicating some of the problems I face filming with a phone, like camera shake and positioning. I want to provide you with the best content I can.
I now have a Patreon, find it here

    The kit was purchased from
    www.emodels.co.uk
Mission Models paints are available from

The way you manage to make the panzer gray look so realistic and absolutely not boring leaves me litteraly speachless.

Nice job. For wood handles, I have painted the handle with a light brown and then burnt sienna oil paint, left to dry for a while and then “dry brushed” off with a clean brush. It leaves a nice stain. For rusty exhaust, baking soda can be used for a nice effect, but care must be used because too much baking soda just builds up into a mess.

Hi, great job! I think the mud is perfect, I think too many modelers don’t go far enough with the caked on mud, look at old photos, lots of mud in all the nooks and crannies . The oil/grease was great as well, just look at heavy equipment, lots of oil and grease oozing 😁.

Nice job!!,...in my opinion, one mistake that most of the modelers make is to not to weather the decals, so, in contrast with the rest, they look brand new. Some washes on them or even cut some parts off, may give a more realistic effect.

Awaiting the arrival of a Tiger 1 in 1/16. It will be the first large scale armour yet to tackle, but a lot of good tips when I get around to finishing it.

An immense effort but in the end it was worth it. The result is really impressive👍🏼👍🏼. My honest respect, the model looks absolutely lifelike. Thanks for sharing and greetings from Cuxhaven on the German North Sea shore.👍🏼😁

GREAT build and video production. I, for one, appreciate the warnings about ejector pin marks and removal, the tight fit of the fenders to the lower hull, etc. You show how these "glitches" are easily overcome. Your tracks and on-board tools are super. And, the piece de la resistance is your mud effects. In this large scale they are fantastic. You have a new subscriber, James. THANK YOU!

Lawrence thankyou very much, I'm glad you like the video and the tips, I feel bad if I say the kits fine when parts might be a pain, I may not go into tonnes of detail but the warning is there. Thankyou for the sub , much appreciated!
