    I have been binging on these antique/vintage tool restorations and old furniture refinishing videos. The transformations that these items go through in the videos are nothing short of amazing. I must say that your inclusion of tidbits of information on the bottom of the screen is very interesting and I appreciate that you put some research into the projects. Well done sir!

      Thank you for the kind words! I really love to dig in and learn some history about these items. There’s always something interesting to learn beyond the how-to of the restoration itself. The F.H. Smith MFG Co. was an especially interesting one. That story about the moose hunt was nothing short of amazing! I recommend this article for a fun short read: www.madeinchicagomuseum.com/single-post/f-h-smith-mfg-co/

    Nice restore! I've been thinking of buying one of these for doing eyelet setting in kydex, but I couldn't yell if it could be converted. Do you think it would be able to be used for that?

      The rivet with the tube part goes head down in the bottom piece.

    Thank for the video. I was looking to buy one of these. My question is can it be used as a snap-button press as well? I know that I would need to buy the dies for that purpose, but is it possible to use it as that?

    • @RestoreThis
      @RestoreThis  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the right dies I wouldn’t see why not. People have used these for rivets on saddle and leather work as well as some stories of them being used to rivet friction material to brake shoes (although there are far better tools for that purpose). I would think as long as the button fit in the opening of the press when the appropriate dies were added it would surely generate enough for e to work.

      Hello! Thanks for stopping by! I’ve been looking on google image search to try to find something matching that description and haven’t found anything yet. I’ll let you know if I come across something that matches. Do you happen to have a picture of the item?

    а почему не показал для чего эта штука предназначена?

    • @RestoreThis

      Олег, это хороший вопрос! Это просто, потому что у меня нет ничего, что требует клепки! А если серьезно, то у меня тоже не было подходящих заклепок для этой машины. Thank you for watching! I will try to make sure I have an example of the items usage in the future!
