  • I was very inspired by a video from Birgit Koopsen over on the Gelliarts channel to create my own gelli prints with PanPastels. I am very happy that I finially found a great way to use these colours. They were sitting in the shelf for such a long time now. I rarely used them. Carolyn Dube has an online workshop about PanPastels and the Gelli Plate. I haven't joined it, but I am pretty sure she has some awesome tips and tricks!

    I have both pan pastels (unused) and a geli plate (unused), and have never thought of using them together. Great inspiration. Thank you.

    I'm thinking if you put a layer of matt medium down first and let it dry, then use the pan pastels, you won't need to use a fixative.
    I love the prints you made. Using the pan pastels allows you more control of where you use the different colours. I don't have any pan pastels, but I'll give this a go with my soft pastels.

    Stunning! Such nice papers to work with.
    I love your choices of colors. I am also surprised at how little acrylic paint you used to pick up the pastels. 🎨
    Thank you! 👍💕🌞

    Wonderful prints, I'm surprised that the pastels don't move at all when you brayer on the acrylic layer. Have you ever tried this with chalk pastels or inktense blocks? I don't have pan pastels you see...😁 Thanks Susanne!

    • @SusanneRose
      @SusanneRose  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Mieke! I believe this works with any kind of soft pastels. I think Inktense blocks are less chalky and they will be activated by the acrylics. But maybe it's worth to try.

    I wonder which pale blue and pink colours from Amsterdam Acryllic paint use the most (i love that brand).

    So beautiful! Does it have to be Panpastels or any pastels..they're so expensive! Would you get the same result if you did it directly to the paper?

    • @SusanneRose
      @SusanneRose  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't really know. I think the way of application is important. I believe you can use soft tools with normal pastels. I think the result is different because of the acrylic. It also becomes fixed with the acrylics.
