THANK YOU for this! I factory reset my Kwikset Convert and it decided to switch handing and I couldnt figure out how to reverse it. This video was short and sweet and to the point. I can remotely lock and unlock again.

Was about to return my 915. Did the factory reset like 10 times but I didn't hold it down for 5 seconds (doh!!). I seen it was trying to unlock the door in the wrong direction. Works like a charm after a proper factory reset. :D

It is wonderful to find this video to solve my problem. I have Kwikset Halo will go opposite direction by using the code. I was able to use the key to lock and unlock. By watching this with easy fix, it is very nice.

Mine is clicking on lock and unlock. Even with door open. Is it supposed to do this

Normally rehanding will help this I would attempt one more time and if that does not slow it. It could be an installation issue.

I have a kwickset PL1 electronic deadbolt that will no longer lock. When I test it manually from the the other side using the knob, it is very hard to move. It acts like a car with no power steering.
And it propels the lock back to open when I let go. Does anyone know how to solve this problem with the tension? A web search has turned up nothing. Sorry for the pun.

I might try two things losening the screws or using a flat head under the knob to losen it if take it apart hopefully that makes sense
