- Evelyn Waugh (1903-1966) is known today for his novels, including "Decline and Fall", "A Handful of Dust" and "Brideshead Revisited". TV adaptations and his grandson, Alexander Waugh, have kept the Waugh legacy alive. But various scholars allege Waugh was a bisexual author due to his multiple homosexual affairs at Oxford University. Alastair Graham, Robert Pares and Hugo Lygon are delved into as Waugh's lovers. Waugh's female lovers Teresa "Baby" Jungman and Audrey Lucas after his 1928 divorce are also explored.

I have been a Waugh enthusiast for many years. Most of the information here is already known to me but l appreciate the depth of research and the gentle, evenhanded tone used in detailing it. Thank you.
Thank you!
Waugh has always been my favorite writer. Interesting and well presented.
Thank you so much from Amsterdam
Great film. Thank you
You are so welcome.
"Does not hold a candle to F. Scott Fitzgerald." What?
Oh you haven't read Fitzgerald?
Indeed.
I admire them both and Fitzgerald wrote beautiful, often lyric prose but Waugh is a greater prose stylist in my opinion; this is a matter of taste of course but probably most readers have that same opinion.
