Not really surprised as I read the light novels, but I was surprised that certain Jaeger weren't in the movies. The 2nd movie could've benefitted with better Jaeger usage to compliment the casting choices.
They battle the kaiju once, destroying the city but killing the kaiju. Don't battle and kill it, then the kaiju destroys all of the cities. I think I like the first one better 👍
Was thinking, someone should make a game where we can use either Jaegers or Kaiju and have like a battle royale or something like Armored Core fights. Then have an RPG element to get different parts for Jaegers to customize your Jaeger or genetic mutations for Kaijus. Or have the same game play as XCOM or Front Mission. It would be fun to control these monstrosities and recreate the battles and wars mentioned in the comics. The whole lore and number of characters in the world of Pacific Rim is a potent ground for a potentially epic game with PVE and PVP options for longevity

maybe a something similar to titanfall 2 but with a third person view and your in a titan 24/7 and more fleshed out combat similar to ghost of tsushima when using swords (For jaegers) and also hand to hand combat akin to sifu but more heavy and less like kungfu but i mean how combat works in sifu would probaly be the best gameplay wise but i can see rpg mechanics being use heavily like there being a pilot upgrade tree where you can get more moves for the jaegers and jeager upgrade tree where you unlock weapons armour and special ablities like one where oil comes out from the jaegers hands and then the jaeger ingintes it and kaiju upgrade tree would include physical (and the Jaegers too) changes to your kaiju when you upgrade them say for example you pick a slatern looking kaiju and you upgrade the tails where they become ranged weapons and then the open up and fire spikes when your using them and make character customization like changing the head of you kaiju to have knifeheads head and arms of the mega kaiju and 6 tails like slatern and a jaw like the mega kaiju and jaegers you buy the parts and you can customize your pilot and there could be couch co op and you can control the jaeger and your buddy could have another jaeger.

It may be the most average/basic Jaeger to choose but Gipsy Danger will always be my favourite. From the moment Gipsy Danger arrives to save the other Jaegers and absolutely annihilates Leatherback and defeats Otachi. All by itself, while the other Jaegers were rendered helpless after being hit by Leatherback’s EMP blast. Leaving Cherno Alpha without any support against two strong Kaiju. Gipsy Danger doing what none of the other Jaegers could manage all by itself solidified it, in my mind as my favourite Jaeger, there’s no contest as far as I’m concerned. Sure the “analog machine” is a super duper convenient story quirk to have given the amount of electronics in the Jaeger but I’ll give it a pass on the knowledge that it’s powered by a nuclear reactor and possibly EMF shielded electronics allowing it to be its own energy source unlike some Jaegers like Striker Eureka. Which is somehow susceptible to the EMP attack possibly because uses batteries to power the machine and needs to be charged between deployments. I guess I’ll just chock it down to science fiction monster movie logic. That’s the only thing that has bothered me about Gipsy Danger’s abilities as a Jaeger since I watched the movie, but it doesn’t take away from its place as my favourite Jaeger in this universe.

Man this franchise was hella dope. Not a cinematic masterpiece but boy did I enjoy seeing 100ft tall robots battling giant monsters. It just scratches that itch in my brain and I really wish it did well commercially to warrant another sequel. I just want to watch giant cgi robots fighting giant cgi monsters again.
The animated miniseries, despite the stiffy animation, is a much better sequel. Amazing that even small countries have their own racehorse-named jaeger.
Its funny to watch through this video and see stuff that is specifically, and obviously not Pacific Rim jaegers, like the gundam at 1:46:13 but its still content worth the praise as you guys took a decent chunk of time getting this info together and recording the audio. So all in all good work.

By looking at the arms chests and heads of these jeagers I have determined that striker eureka is NOT a new jeager but a jeager made out of decommissioned jeager parts
I always imagined they were all designed by gunpla enthusiasts who just sat and played with toys and swapped parts around to design jaegers. In the movies the pilots and jaegers are like sports stars. Or rockstars.

WBD doesn't own the rights to the Pacific Rim franchise (I think it's Universal) and after the new Godzilla vs Kong movie the monster verse might go to Sony or some other company.
I'll be honest, both Kong and Gojira are waaay too powerful. Like category 10. Kong mostly just due to dexterity and strength, and Gojira is a damned walking, armored Nuke, with just as much strength as Kong, plus is 10 times faster in water. Way too much for a couple Jaeger pilots, but would be an awesome fight to be sure.

A lot of these pics aren't Jaegers. There are several transformers, lots of random robots/mechs that are nothing more than digital art, and at least one of them used a picture of a spartan from Halo
there’s this other mech from a veryshitty filipino production with substandard, dated vfx live-action adaptation of a 70s superrobot anime show, that got inspired by the china-pandering pacific rim sequel.

I doubt anyone would check it out, but there is a story called Jaegers in Mustafa. Its a Pacific Rim MHA (or BNHA for Japanese side) story. With a variety of Jaegers built on the MHA side to fight kaiju. Since quirks are useless. The lead of which is Titan Might. Theres descriptions of the machines and their weapons too.

The movie just made the other Jeager looks so awful like how quickly Cherno Alpha got beaten into pulp by a Category 4 despite of having a pedigree of defending the entire russian peninsula they immediately died in the movie same goes for Crimson Typhoon it defended Hongkong 6 times by itself which is not an easy task but tbh these two are more powerful than Gypsy Danger

By looking at the arms chests and heads of these jeagers I have determined that striker eureka is NOT a new jeager but a jeager made out of decommissioned jeager parts
I always imagined they were all designed by gunpla enthusiasts who just sat and played with toys and swapped parts around to design jaegers. In the movies the pilots and jaegers are like sports stars. Or rockstars.

Wondering if these machines could handle Kong and Godzilla from the WB monster verse.
WBD doesn't own the rights to the Pacific Rim franchise (I think it's Universal) and after the new Godzilla vs Kong movie the monster verse might go to Sony or some other company.
I'll be honest, both Kong and Gojira are waaay too powerful. Like category 10. Kong mostly just due to dexterity and strength, and Gojira is a damned walking, armored Nuke, with just as much strength as Kong, plus is 10 times faster in water. Way too much for a couple Jaeger pilots, but would be an awesome fight to be sure.

A lot of these pics aren't Jaegers. There are several transformers, lots of random robots/mechs that are nothing more than digital art, and at least one of them used a picture of a spartan from Halo

I doubt anyone would check it out, but there is a story called Jaegers in Mustafa. Its a Pacific Rim MHA (or BNHA for Japanese side) story. With a variety of Jaegers built on the MHA side to fight kaiju. Since quirks are useless. The lead of which is Titan Might. Theres descriptions of the machines and their weapons too.

The movie just made the other Jeager looks so awful like how quickly Cherno Alpha got beaten into pulp by a Category 4 despite of having a pedigree of defending the entire russian peninsula they immediately died in the movie same goes for Crimson Typhoon it defended Hongkong 6 times by itself which is not an easy task but tbh these two are more powerful than Gypsy Danger
