I like watching your lessons
I like skiing because there it is fun but I do not like pictures getting taken by photographers because it is long, tedious to stand around posing and they always say 'be like this and be like that', which indicated a lack of appreciation as to who I am for what I am myself. Rather than this way to give a false public perception of myself. I think I did the verbs...yes!?!?

Watching this lesson gave me the inspiration for this comment:
(Did we all notice that 'watching' was the gerund used in a gerund + object phrase, with 'gave' being the verb?)
Gerunds act as nouns, but are officially known as verbal nouns. They are a subject or the subject of a sentence and always have an 'ing' ending..Just like with nouns, we can put adjectives before them: 'Fast reading takes time to master.'
Gerunds can easily be confused with progressive verbs within verbal phrases, like in this sentence: 'I am considering my next move.' Notice there how 'am considering' is acting as the verbal phrase, with 'considering' being the main verb and 'am' (a form of be) being the auxiliary verb.
To add to the confusion, adjectives, verbs, gerunds, prepositions and static nouns can all have 'ing' endings.
Can you tell where the gerund appears in these sentences?
1. We are following his following and will discuss it following our dinner and some following drinks.
Do we see the gerund 'following' appear 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in the sentence?
2. The building sector have agreed to the building of the building, and our company will be building it soon.
Do we see the gerund 'building' appear 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th? in the sentence.
