realmente as kata do goju ryu tem uma pequena semelhasa com as shito ryu e por esta razao que os praticantes do shito ryu vem esquesito mas dentro dos precipios do goju ryu karate esta bem feita ou perfeita antonio diaz estas de parabens
I don't know if it is exactly the Goju ryu version. Díaz is Shito ryu style, his sensei is Yoshimi Inoue (+). (Shito Ryu Karate do Keishin Kai). (Totori, Japan).
so this is a good performance of the world champion but this is not a traditionnal version of suparimpei... it s more a special shito version adapted for competition.
maybe we can say this is a special shito version of suparimpei...like the italians or the spanish atheltes who make very strange suparimpei... i have to say that suparimpei is not a ruey ryu kata...
Is this really the best our art has to offer? What does this man look like he is? Locked in battle? Engaged the matters of life and death? Of course not! He looks as the he is on a mat performing stilted forms for solemn judges. In other words, he looks as if he is engaged in trivial exercises for cheap glory. Kate deserves better than this.
Perhaps, I am not immune from human frailty. But my motive aside... am I wrong? Does this look like life and death combat, or a dance recital?? And where is his face? Is he projecting imminent death to his opponent, or merely that he Is constipated? Be honest.
@@johnwilkes4671 Antonio Diaz the year he won the wkf championship performs this Kata better than 99% of people ever will. There is no accounting for taste, but he is a technical marvel, and just so happens to make it look very aesthetically pleasing in the process. I don't think he'd ever have problems defending himself with the bunkai in this kata, considering the technique, speed, balance, control, and awareness he shows here. I think the only the only one here with a problem is you.
Someday i want to able to have control over my shiko-dachi! The way he entered the shiko-dachi from a jump kick was insanely awesome 🤩
And thank you for all these good videos!
lots of applause from 11 spectators I must say!!
agreed....that's what i meant. yes i also prefer the more traditional okinawan version.
Uau! Sensacional👏👏👏👏👏🙌
so good.
Unbelievable Dynamics...Great Performance !
yes he practices shito ryu, but he also does goju. this is the goju ryu version of suparinpei.
actually, this is a ryuei ryu version. but the directions are the same of goju ryu version... =)
I can be wrong, but this is still the Goju-Ryu Suparinpei, but it is a adapted version.

本物の伝統空手だな、凄くよかった!🎉
I'm just repeating what Diaz answered to Jesse at an Interview.
道着のいい音がする。。
I know you are.....go check out my recent video of the Panamerican male kata finals. Diaz himself wrote a comment to clear up the matter.
Good
Esa respiracion no es gojuryu y las posiciones son mas largas que las de gojuryu
Es Shito ryu.
Inteligente observación, inteligente observación...
No, this is Goju Ryu style suparinpei

What a pity
Antonio did not understand the meaning of the Kata
some mistakes...

@@johnwilkes4671 waiting for you to upload your version of this kata so we can all see your battle face.
A fair point. Let me see if I can overcome my technical challenges and post an example of "face".
