There is a simple economic explanation of how housing is bad and cars are good. Cars are more easily able to be secured with lower down payments even with poor credit scores. However, work on houses costs significantly more and FHA loans are far harder to secure with poor credit or not enough income. Furthermore, quality of schools is heavily dependent on property taxes of the housing area and if the housing costs less, than the funding for schools is less. Meaning, higher priced houses equals better funded schools. Poorly funded schools are correlated with poorer academic performance, higher dropout rates, etc. I know a lot of you guys come on these videos to look down on others, but all this really has a simple economic explanation.
