You know, when there was an offer to sing Ost for that drama tittle "Cherry Blossom", the person who participated in the production of that ost posted an inquiry online, saying from the very beginning, that song was produced especially for D.O to sing and it's originally 2 keys lower than the current version. But at the end, seems like D.O gave it to Chen...so, the key of song was changed. Can you believe how strong their friendship? Cause if a person prioritizes his friend more than himself, then it must be sincerity. D.O gave chance to Chen to sing an ost for his drama. He did it even though we knew so well D.O's vocal skills also very capable of executing that song. He really considered his brother, because indeed, among the 9 members of EXO, only Chen did not go into the film industry...So, I just speechless. I was touched by their brothership who preferred each other rather than taking everything to himself. D.O did not let his brother lose shine, he wanted his member to shine brightly like him. I'd love to see what you think of some of their ElyXiOn concert performances. They're fantastic! My favorite is Intro + The Eve/Forever. The vocals are incredible (no backtrack that I've noticed) and the staging is so cool!!

They don't hog the microphone, instead they let each member shine and show what they all bring to the table to create each and every song and performance. Loved your comment on their group dynamic and how considerate they are with each other. Their vocals was the first to pull me in, but it's their friendships with each other and caring for their fans that has made me become a fan. If you watch them on their game shows or variety shows, you see how close they are. D.O. will cook for the other members and while he is busy cooking, the other members will come and feed him or give him a drink so he isn't missing out. Or Kai will take the time to peel the shrimp but instead of eating it for himself, will give it to Sehun. You can see they are like brothers. I love that.

My second favorite part of this video was the talk about high notes, showmanship, and the technical aspect. My most favorite part about it was the talk about EXO's group dynamics when they were sharing mics. It describes them to a T. :) I think one of the biggest differences between western groups (or at least western groups formed through those TV shows) and kpop groups is the group dynamics. Sure, people will say we don't know these groups either. But we know that they've lived in the same dorm since they were teenagers, when all one knows is that you are all working towards a similar dream. One that you cannot achieve alone (in Korea becoming a dance singer is a separate dream than say being a regular solo singer). These people have become their peer support group. You don't know anything about being professional or being all business at that age, and so they learned to be friends and family first before anything like that. Another is that because they don't simply sing but also dance, they are aware of how much more they are able to do because they are in a group. Unlike for example if you are in a group of singers and you all sing a song that you can all sing as individuals, you can dance on your own but you won't be able to present the same thing (as evidenced by so many solo dance singers having backup dancers). So I believe they learn how to value the group more as something they are lucky to be a part of instead of something that is a hindrance to their individual dreams. Thank you!
