    Gotta say I’ve noticed a significant change in your game where you’re no longer forcing opponents out of pots in spots where you’re always calling down anyways(set of 5s against 67spades) Respect you taking some advice from the comment section!! :) I’m paycheckslapper 😁 heads up was fun the other day!

      Yeah, my thinking too. Unlikely hes jammin a T high flush. Its either gigantic dumb bluff, or nutted hand: K high or straightflush (25h also plays). I'd only call here against super Fishy players

    That raise with QJcc otr against an overbet. You said that you were doing it because you have second nut flush. But you are holding third nut suit as well. His overbet also seems to be very polarizing.

    The player pool at 1/2 on here is too good to ever make any type of consistent profit, which is partly why you’ve been spinning your wheels all year. A lot of run bad too I know, but you’d probably be better off just going back to 2/5, it suits your natural play style more. Either that or just go play live.

    • @BarvGwydh
      @BarvGwydh ปีที่แล้ว

      there's just no such thing as higher stakes being easier or lower stakes being harder (unless you are taking about a different pool like 50NL zoom vs 100NL normal tables, 200NL live vs 50NL online, etc). also he has a sponsorship and he is still up money at these games this year.

    • @johnjsavage
      @johnjsavage ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BarvGwydh Yeah but I’ve been watching him since almost the very beginning and he always did way better at 2/5. There’s just not enough players playing aggressively to make consistent profit-there’s way less action, essentially.
      Table selection is widely considered to be a large part of being a successful poker player, and by choosing to only play 1/2 he’s basically choosing to always sit at tables mostly full of tight regs. It’s not a winning strategy.

    • @BarvGwydh
      @BarvGwydh ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnjsavage there is no such thing as being able to beat a higher stake but not a lower stake. bad poker is bad poker, good poker is good poker. as you go up in stakes the regs know more theory.

    • @johnjsavage
      @johnjsavage ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BarvGwydh yes I understand, but there’s more ‘bad poker’ at 2/5, at least there was when he was playing it. Just because you go up in stakes doesn’t necessarily mean the players automatically know more theory.

    Another day in the office for pokerstars. Always dealing the exact cards that will make the pot huge for best rake gains. Worth mention that every site I play is the same. You shove all in pre and the runouts are amazing, even if the play would have gone to the streets the pot would have been huge… today I shoved AA and 2 callers, 99 and AQs, the 9’s hit a set and the AQ made its flush on the river…

      human brain can't understand random events very well. when you play thousands of hands, you encounter events that are 1 in thousands. encountering a showdown that can be described as 1/50,000 is completely normal, even though we look at it on its face and think "wow, that should never happen!". there is just no motive for stars to rig anything. it would be incredibly difficult to develop, and if they did, they made it subtle enough that humans can't detect it - if we could, it would be trivial to prove something was off using data analysis which could make a compelling case that it exists (people have tried and failed to do so). I can ramble on but comment is already long. it's just pure cope for bad players to blame something else other than their bad play.

    Dave you need to go look in the mirror and say “I can win at 2/5”. This player pool excuse is crazy. You made 98k last year man. You can do it! Work on the bet sizes and stop bluffing with missed draws. You’re better than what you’re playing right now. If you go back to 2/5 and risk it you can have a respectable last 3 months and show PokerStars why they should resign you. The worst thing that happens is you stop creating content and go back to work full time. It takes balls to quit your job and take risk. Not only did you do it but you succeeded. Go back and watch your play from last year and remember why Stars brought you on as an ambassador.

    Poker God's are really smacking you with the negative side of variance this year.
    I am wondering how calling a 4-bet OOP with K9ss isn't mostly burning money? You had to fold a combo draw. How many times are you seeing all 5 cards to hit your hand without getting it all in?

    • @asurp7173
      @asurp7173 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its not variance

    • @BarvGwydh
      @BarvGwydh ปีที่แล้ว

      because it's heads up. if your opponent is 4betting extremely tight then you can consider folding. Jonathan Little has a video "How to Play Heads-Up Poker: PREFLOP" that might help you out. but yeah, folding K9s is burning money. I think the first thing to realize is that hands like 72s and T5o are the cusp of your opening range (not sure if this is true with Stars rake, but it's marginally losing if it's losing). from there you can start to imagine how wide you can 3bet, and then how wide you can 4bet.
