Thank you very much for this tutorial. I’m new to the digital planning world. I’ve been looking for a video like this for a while now and today happens to be my lucky day. I have been trying to figure out how to use my text box over my stickers because like you stated in the video, the feature doesn’t allow it. I was able to follow the steps shown in this video and problem is solved. Thank you so much for taking the time to show newbies like me how it’s done.😊😊😊
I have an awful time with the text tool! I don’t think it is as user friendly as it could be, but it’s probably because I’m so used to using my MacBook to markup PDF’s, screenshots, etc. I think you covered all the issues I have, so THANK YOU! I actually kind of “watched” this video before I started working with the text tool, but I wasn’t really focused on it. That would have been shortly after I downloaded Goodnotes and purchased your “Whole Shop Bundle.” I let playlists just run in the “background” sometimes while I’m doing other things, but if there’s something that I feel I need to rewatch and pay attention to later, I’ll save it. I finally looked for it today! I just remembered I saw a video that was likely from you that was a detailed text tool tutorial. Yep! It was only saved under FOUR playlists, including one named, “Important.” 😂 I also have a playlist just for YOUR videos, one for digital planning, and one for Goodnotes tips or tutorials. This was in ALL of those! Apparently, I didn’t want to overlook it in case I had any issues when I got around to really trying to use the app. That does no good if you don’t look for the video. 😳🤯🤣 You are the BEST!!! I mean that! ❤❤❤
I didn't realize how long my comment was! I'm bad about over explaining. According to my favorite YT creator for trials, Emily D. Baker, it's an ADHD thing. She mentioned it in a recent video. I felt relief knowing it's not just me! 🤣
thank you for this tutorial very useful, i would like to know how do i do spacing like 2 lines while writing with the apple pencil? i need to double space or do a different paragraph
To increase the space between lines tap on the (4) vertical lines in the menu bar next to the font size option. Then, drag the slider and test out the spacing until you find one that you like. It will vary depending on the font you are using. Hope this helps!
@@retroplannerco hello, thank you for your answer is not spacing i want, is like a quick way of beginning a new sentence below, like when you put enter on the computer
You can install an app like iFont to download and install fonts from Google Fonts, Dafont and Fontspace, or you can purchase fonts on Creative Fabrica, Etsy, etc. and use iFont to install them on your ipad. Once they are installed, they will automatically show up in Goodnotes.
Try this: Instead of hitting "convert" hit "copy". Then go back to your planner and hit "paste". That should automatically switch it for you. Goodnotes defaults converted text to Helvetica.
Thank you!!! I was fighting the stupid app and couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong! Your video just saved me a ton of time
You never fail to find exactly what I’m struggling with!🎉 Thank you
Happy to help!
I agree! Her channel should have way more followers and views. I don't know if she cares about that, but she is amazing!
Excellent video -- thank you so much -- it has really helped me make my school notes more palatable--please keep up the good work-- it matters!!

Hey! I set noteworthy as my default font but when I convert text it automatically changes to hervatica

I still don't see the text tool. Something is wrong
I just got to Goodnotes app and I don’t have this icon either.
@@SWEETSROCHELLEI'm calling tech support on my day off.
The text tool may look different on your end, or you may be experiencing a glitch. I recommend reaching out to Goodnotes support.
