Picked up the ie 600 last week - INSANE iem. Loved the Kinda Lava and SA6 for different reasons but the ie 600 is just another level imo. Definitely an all rounder king, at least for me.
Also, treble is very much make or break and I have no problem with the ie 600. Just for reference, the Timeless is unlistenable to my ears - way too sibilant.
It's a shame the fit is awkward because they are so damn small + the cable sucks. I might have to invest in a custom 100$ cable for their proprietary mmcx.

    • @realaudioreviews

I don't think I did before swapping things out so your comment interests me. Because of that plus you saying the ie 600 is that good. I know you don't like kato but tell me this, I'm looking for an iem that have better vocals, vocals are at the back and instruments infront for me with kato. The treble is shrill so I'm definitely looking for something less sharp but do justice to symbols and the sparkles. Bass of kato is fine for me but I want more low end and subbass. I like wide soundstage and good separation. Good detail retrieval is appreciated. I listen to hiphop, pop, rock, blues and jazz. I've been looking into Variations lately, I want your input on this. • @realaudioreviews

Instruments will sound forward on the variations and Oracle, for vocals being more in the background you need something with a upper mid scoop. It’s tough to find something like that in this price point. But overall I think the Oracle mk2 will suite you well for vocals and treble performance. But if you need rumbly bass and smoothest treble, then variations is better. The instruments/vocals aren’t recessed on any of these. Maybe the dunu sa6? But idk how the bass sounds or if the treble is sharp, but it does have that mid scoop, they say it’s like a baby u12t.

Timeless is like an A- , great purely for detail. But when a trained listener hears it, they will notice it has almost no soundstage depth, and lacks refinement in the overall sound. I will say the timeless is very impressive because it’s only $200 ish, which is really good. Overall, it sounds excellent from the bass to treble, however, the depth of the sound is mediocre on it. Ie600 is on another level in terms of depth and image placement, while being more detailed at the same time. It’s impressive that a single DD can do this, I never thought it was possible.

Variations destroy the Meteor in every aspect. Meteors have flat vocals, muddy BA bass and artificial sparkle on top which can be harsh at times. Variations sound perfect, they have the most natural tuning.

I listen to the ie600 for the last 4 days and didnt like it compared to the mest OG stage/ image or trio all rounder. BUT for the price its excellent!

Single dynamic has smaller stage, the imaging is very good on ie600. Better than most pairs around the price point

Your hearing must be terrible. You should be looking into hearing-aids instead of IEMs.
