So when Rice decided to diss her for dissing him that’s how a lot of people were introduced to her and many others. Lots of people who want to make it big get managers, agents, etc. Many of them aren’t even popular like some TikTok stars. I get what you’re saying, but the ones who been in the industry. Really started out young, had connections, and are very popular today. I’m not going to name these influencers, celebrities, etc. But if you had connections early on, your name would be known like a Justin Bieber or something
I’ve been to these exact parties she’s talking about during my first few years of living out in LA...and she’s right. Literally how I’d always describe them... as sad.
People would be so bored sitting around on their phones, then the second someone was filming/taking photos, they’d act like they were having the time of their lives. Once the cameras were off, they’d go back to not speaking to each other. I felt judged because I’d get stared down for actually trying to have fun with my friends while nobody was filming anything. Such a contrived, bizarre world they live in.
Moral of the story... if you’re on the outside looking in, comparing your life to these “influencers’” lives... just know that if you were actually apart of it, you wouldn’t want to be.

People love to hate on loren but from what i’ve seen, she seems like a genuinely nice normal girl. She’s been put through so much but has never lost her kindness. I hope the world is treating her well these days.

I don’t hate on Loren but I don’t particularly follow her or like her music, but like she doesn’t bother me because she’s not like the rest of the influencers of today. Like these influencers just keep making these questionable decisions and are given the right to do anything even if it’s not needed.
I used to be very jealous of her because of her beauty, but then I watched some of her TH-cam videos and I realized she is such a sweet and humble girl, she is very down to earth, I'm happy for her.

Celebs might have it financially easy, but that’s not happiness. Hearing her talk about this lifestyle is honestly so sad…I much rather stay average-looking, poor and HAPPY with a small genuine group of friends than have fake beauty, rich and MISERABLE with no real friends.

yeah she's so right! clean fun is actually the best...we need to stop glamorizing the whole wild party thing where you drink till you pass out or throw up and then don't remember anything the next day....there's nothing fun about that. parties with your friends and even mutuals are so much better and actually a lot of fun

That’s how I feel at parties. It depends on the people to me. If you like the people around you or you’re an extrovert maybe it’s fun. Being an introvert I think we rarely enjoy parties.
Can total relate and I always hear ppl on the internet say “go party and have fun” when there’s so many other ways to have fun without feelings uncomfortable around a certain amount of people

Yea same. I would always stick with the same ppl I've been knowing and have good relationship with and also are very comfortable. Tho I would try to break out of my shyness and interact with new ppl every now and then and even make a good acquaintance (cuz realistically that's what they are at that point, just someone you can have a good conversation with), I don't really go out of my way to try to be in a new clique and pretend to have been buddy buddy with them lol.
It’s nice to do sometimes but at the end of the day those kinds of relationships are just… for fun. There is nothing deep about them and eventually they get boring and suffocating. It’s nice to party sometimes like that but keep it as party buddies and nothing more.

I feel like a lot of tiktokers/ "influencers" who used to brand themselves as quirky and relatable have taken to a darker aesthetic as their platforms get bigger and they start to experience the bad side of their profession
Basically, people who want to be famous and dream that it’s going to be the best thing ever turns out it’s just as dark and twisted behind the scenes when they finally get what they wish for.
Imagine being in a party where everyone is judging everyone's followers, achievements. And in the end of the party, take a picture with a fake smile.

She's on the first step to being healthier and happier-- being honest on what she's comfortable with. These sad "parties" had always been in existence for generations, maybe worse during the age of social media. The common denominator would be people who have nothing to do with each other, trying to make themselves appear more relevant and important because they have "connections". I've been there as well and I'm happy to be over it. Glad she has people she's genuinely close to. 🙏

She’s right. Their job is to make content, so of course they make it look like the best time in the planet. But it’s really not all that. It’s all just so in-genuine and soulless, also what she said about how they live is true. The houses are nice, but it’s truly just a pigsty of a mansion. Basically designer frat houses. A lot of these influencers are co-workers more so than friends, sure there’s probably some genuine relationships somewhere in the mix but ultimately it’s all just one big business.

makes me thankful i’ve got real friends and we know how to have a good time together. i honestly always forget to take pictures, because i’m having so much fun in the moment. sometimes i feel bad about not having enough pictures, but i think it’s actually a good thing.
I think new generations are growing more and more desentized from all the media. It's extremely hard to form any true relationship, platonic or romantic, because it seems that most people don't even want them. Everything revolves around partying, fucking around, expensive clothes and being badass. People who want genuine connections are forced to change to avoid depression, and the cycle just continues.
You know that influencers don’t have such an amazing life when their goal is to actually makes you hate your life, by comparing it to them.
Welcome to LA/the entertainment industry. This is literally the realization I had when I moved there in the early 90s. So, when I had kids and discovered the kiddie bday parties were just the same kind of smarmy glad-handing events we moved our family to the midwest. We kept our house in LA to visit family, but best decision ever.
