Im glad it gave you an idea of what to expect .. Hagi is really into pottery, which is something I didnt explore and wish I had at least maybe even taken a class or experience there e

It seems ,this was taken on a wk day ,Wk ends you get many people in these Places . And there're many beautiful Gift shops & food stalls also around . Some days ,Very Colorful religious type Ceremonies too .Many Japanese come here, with colorful dresses and occasionally with traditional dresses like Kimonos too . This another Place ,not to miss if you are in Yamaguchi Prefecture .

Yup! So much to see and experience! I’m trying to remember if it was a week day or weekend or if it was just because it was still rainy season? But you’re right worth the visit

Fantastic temples and shrines fascinating to be able to see them . I always love seeing temples so interesting to look around them . Japan and the Japanese and the culture I have to say , also the ladies seem very feminine and beautiful . Nice vlog as always

These temples were very beautiful and kind of different to what I’d seen elsewhere so it was a nice surprise! I agree The ladies are beautiful 😉

Oh yes they are so friendly, even in the cities but the more countryside you go believe it or not they get friendlier!

Yamaguchi Prefecture is also known as Little Kyoto . The Kyoto was the Capitol of Japan for more than 1000 yrs. Still ,Yamaguchi is still very very Special with so many beautiful shrines , Places & small Cities around . I Love all those Places a Lot .

The lamps are ‘tōrō’. 🤓 There are some other videos about Hagi on TH-cam but they suck, so you’re pioneering in this area of Japan. I plot my itineraries with Google maps the same way you do. Hagi looks very quiet, but chatty locals is a great selling point.

Tōrō thanks! Hopefully other people will find the video useful too. The locals were chatty but also quite old. I spoke to some people who told me hagi has a big senior population problem and they are trying to rejuvenate it!
