Kengo-San, thank you for making this video! It bring back memories of when I was on my way to Hiroshima from Kyushu, I stayed several days in Shimonoseki and visited Karato Fish Market, it was so amazing to buy so many delicious sushi and I also had fugu! I really want to go back there!
Your previous video on Hakone motivated me to include it in my trip this fall. I'll be staying a full 3 nights! Thanks for getting people like me away from Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka
Kenchan your videos are fantastic and you are getting even better shots now! The Kanmon Channel looks incredible and I can't wait to plan a trip to Kyushu and Yamaguchi! That will maybe be trip 4 to Japan though (one day haha)!
Thank you so much Ryuga san for watching and super support!! It’s the first video of my new travel series, so I’m happy you liked this one. Yes, Kanmon channel is not a place to consider as a travel destination, but it’s great to put as part of the itinerary Hiroshima- Fukuoka. Haha, 4th trip! Maybe San’in route will come back as scheduled so you can explore the region easily. Thank you again. :)
Hi Kenchan Your video couldn't have come in a better time. We are just making plans for our September visit to Fukuoka Nagasaki and Hiroshima Your presentation has a lot of information that can help me Btw love to see you with a coffee by the hotel room window one of my favourites too Cheers
Thank you for watching! I try to put map information as much as possible. I hope you have a great time there. I’m glad you liked the scene of me drinking coffee. haha. 😆
It’s great that you now doing videos that are not as frequently visited by your average tourist. Since we have already visited a lot of the sites in Kyoto-Osaka and completing our list for Tokyo, we are finding videos like this useful. Also we continue to appreciate your style of informative travel videos. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your warm support for this video Kevin san, Dale san! I'm glad you liked the new series of my channel as it's important my members and usual subscribers like them, while it's new. i'd like to keep it as informative as possible in the future so travelers to Japan can actually consider of visiting the off the touristy routes. Thank you again!
Thank you for showing this! This is what more tourists in Japan should go for, wonderful sea views in more countryside area! Looking forward to next video!
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you liked the video about the countryside of Japan. It's not easy to get to, but you can still visit with public transportation.
You like the off the beaten path stuff like me. Have you ever been to Gattan go rail bike, Moya hills luge ride, or Aomori rice paddy art? Keep up videos 😁🤙🏽
Very interesting and useful video. The beautiful countryside makes me feel nostalgic for the short time I spent in Japan last year. Thank you Tokyo Kenchan.
Thank you for watching and leaving a message. That’s great you spent a good time in countryside last year. might be a little difficult to visit for everyone but I think it’s worth the visit the off the golden route :)
That is a very nice off the beaten path trip, thank you very much for sharing it with us Kengo. The journey by train and bus looks a bit complicated, I think one needs to be very well prepared for it, especially if you dont speak Japanese. I have been to Hagi in a previous trip and very much enjoyed it.
Thank you for watching! Oh wow, it seems Hagi is already well visited. Yes, I think it's necessary to check the timetable very well since next train can be a few hours later. It might get a little better after the San'in line comes back. I agree it can be a bit challenging to travel without understanding Japanese especially mentally. Always better to ask more than just waiting with anxiety.
Thank you Ken-san this is a very good video series, I am loving the deep dive into the more out of the way areas of the country. I am looking forward to the next episode about Hagi, a town i got to visit some years ago. I remember enjoying the feel of the town then and have always wanted to return.
Thank you for watching Matt san. Wow, you have been to Hagi! That's great. You might know the scenes from the next video then. I'm glad you like the series of this new travel videos. :)
Nice to see you promoting some of the lesser-known parts of Japan Kengo san. I noticed there are some different conventions in the public transport systems in the less populated areas (like showing your ticket to the train driver upon disembarking) that travellers like me might not know about, so your clear explanation is really helpful. I also have the same down jacket, in orange, and wear it basically every day in winter. So light yet warm! I’m such a fan of Uniqlo now since discovering your channel 😁
Thank you for watching Chris san! Yes, that was confusing even for me, so I was also seeing how local passangers are getting off. I was surprised local guy push a small button next to the window which I didn't even notice and the fan on ceiling started to move. I'm glad you liked the information. Haha, You have the same jacket! Yes, it's it was a bit too heavy for this day in May, but it saved me a lot from wind and dropped temperature. I laughed that you became a fan of Uniqlo after seeing my channel. ^^
Thanks for the video, we have an upcoming trip to Northern Kyushu this July (Sasebo, Beppu, Kitakyushu and Shimonoseki) and we now have an idea how the Shimonoseki area looks like. We are also planning a future trip in the San'in region (Northern Yamaguchi, Matsue and Tottori) and as such are looking forward to your future videos too
Thank you for watching David san. I'm heading down to Hiroshima after Hagi, so I'm not visiting Matsue this time, but that is great you are exploring such a off the Golden route of West Japan. I wish you all the best trip. :)
Is there an overview somewhere of lines that are at risk of closure? It's sad the Mine line is KO forever. I took the Kisuki line last winter because it's set to be closed, very beautiful. I'm sad to have missed Miyoshi-Gotsu already. Hope to take this line once the train returns!
Yes, they don't clearly cofirmed about Mine line, but any plan of recoverning hasn't announced. San'in line's coastal scenery is too precious to lose, so I'm glad it's coming back next year. Sorry I couldn't find good lists of rails that might be disappearing, but thank you for showing interest in it.
Decreasing population here too huh!!? Yeah it’s going around Kenchan in the rural areas right now no people or young people especially are leaving for the cities or somewhere else!! Global what’s going on with this im notching the change in America in New Jersey where I live for some time now or even more now!! Very worried too actually about what’s going to happen with this!!
Thank you for watching Alan san! Yes, decreasing of population is a big problem in Japan, especially in country side like this. I hope I can introduce more of these ares and bring more visitors to the area, hopefully tourism industry bring people back to some of the areas. I wonder if this is happening in New Jersey. It's great population is increasing in the US. :)
@@tokyokenchan I respect what you say but unfortunately no it’s not here either in America birth rate thing is very low with us now too even more now!! It had gone down to 1.7 births now it’s gone down 1.5 births!! So we are in some trouble with this too!!
