    Im confused... so if my bank account has at least $400 ( i don't have a savings) all my money is in a checking.. does that mean as long as it never went under $400 for the past year I must give zakat?

      My brother you should pay your zakat when you get you monthly or annual income. if you have payed once you dont need to pay again and if you have not payed than you should pay only once if you do not have excess wealth staying frozen or prevented from circulating among the people and pay at least 2.5% on your total monthly or annual income if its just enough to fullfuill your needs for resdience food, water, electricity,and travell etc. may Allah subhanahu increase in your Imaan and health inshallah.

    is there a proportion of giving zakat for each categories of receiver? for the poor have more need of zakat than needy

      my dear brother zakat should be given only to poor , the rich dont have the right to receive zakat. if there is someo one more poor than the others than you can pay more to him, it depends upon you.

      @@essajan6801 is the fuqoro and masaqin get same amount of zakat?

    • @essajan6801
      @essajan6801 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hasbi Fathony Well Basically a needy gets the zakat so weather fuqara or masakeen or those on the path o Allah all of them are needy and deserve to get it and it’s their right so they can even demand it if it’s not payed willingly by the wealthy or those who are due to pay it.
      Now if there is a miskeen and a faqeer and one on the path of Allah and let’s say all three of them need $100’ then you should look which one have the most urgent most important and the most obligatory need no matter if he/she is miskeen or faqeer or on the path of Allah or anyone else. You are the one who should prioritize according to your own knowledge of the situation and their need.

    Is your property( vacant) back home zakatable? Assalamualaikum

      Naureen Sadruddin Dear sister Allah almighty says in the Quran to the prophet peace be upon him and his family and companions that, “people ask you “what to give away(for Allah ) say’ “ every thing that’s more than your Need” so according to this verse and over all analysis and understanding of Islam I can strongly advice you to sell that vacant property and bring it to the use for poor and needy.
      It’s strongly forbidden in Islam to freeze wealth and prevent the poor and needy to get close to it.
      Read Quran daily my sister and read chapter 104 in reference to your question.
      But one more thing to mention here is important that if you have payed zakat before you bought the property than you do not have to pay again before one complete year has passed by and if it’s in large amounts than you should pay zakat generously and every year.
      Do not freeze wealth or prevent it from reaching to poor.
