I absolutely love the discussion around the dark side of “too much” compassion/self care, etc. For me my brain falls easily into extremes. So I’m either too harsh and judgmental where I become dysfunctional, and then I swing clear to the other side where I slow down, clear my calendar and do only self-care, where I am also dysfunctional. And at both extremes, I get nothing done, or there’s no follow through. So my major struggle is bringing it to the middle and living more often in balance.
