Looks good to me Paul. Just a cautionary note, I read about another enthusiast who was trying to put a Red Badge on his steering wheel boss and ended up in hospital as the air Bag went off.
I ordered the same part and did to my XK. Everyone loves it. I also ordered the XKR diffuser. I found the XKR resonator in the UK. Shipping was 50 pounds. That's actually very inexpensive. Thanks so much for making your videos. I'm in US and everyone goes nuts over this JAG. Thanks again for all the ideas and really nice videos.
Nice job! It’s the little things that make a difference. I have a video request. It’s one of those things where you may not be inclined to doing it because it involves a bit of tampering. But then again I’ve seen you rip your dash apart to make a little fan quieter lol. So who knows. But anyways my driver door inner panel had come loose and separated a while ago. Then the inner door handle started becoming loose/floppy and wouldn’t lock the car when you pressed it in. The Jaguar dealership fixed it for free when it was in for some other services. They said it hadn’t been reattached properly from whomever did it the first time. But thena few months later it is happening again with just the inner door panel. Someone helped me on one of the Jaguar forms to locate the instruction guide online for removing the inner door panel and there’s some bolts and clips. But I am a bit lost looking at it and don’t want to mess it up further. So if you are open to it or ever just need to do it for some reason, then please film a video of you taking it off and reattaching the inside of wither door panel.
Last comment, yours videos were really great to watch, you make it all look so easy and your calmness in performing the jobs was Brill. Well done and look forward to 2024 clips. The journey has been fab.
It looks equally good with or without the chrome strip. Thanks for producing great content. The end bit was really good. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Loving the badge really looks the part ! I think I said before I’m not very good at diy if I had a go of the badge upgrade it would probably end up with the front bumper coming off 🤦♂️🤣👍
Nice Job Paul. I have the chrome strip and like it for its rarity but would love to change the badge within it to red one. Pity nobody does one that fits in the aperture. Thanks for all your videos this year, looking forward to seeing more in 2024
Looks great Paul! I think the grill Crome is specific to only the 2007 X-150’s here in the states along with the stainless antenna mast. I didn’t like your idea of removing the chrome at first but seeing the big red growler reminds me of the aggressive grill on the F-Type. Thanks for the great videos all year and Merry Christmas from Milwaukee. 😊
Thank you for all the fantastic videos this year. Again, you did an excellent job with the grill, the result looks amazing, and I loved the ending ;-) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Yeah happy Christmas to you too mate looking forward to seeing more videos. Just wondering will you be doing a video of an oil change anytime soon? All the best, Peter.
Hi Paul Great channel& really useful info. I'm taking ownership of a 2007 xkr next week(so excited!) Your channel has inspired me to make it my own, like to ask if the red badge face is a direct fit for the xkr or is still need to drill the locating holes like you did? Enjoying your new content with the roller! Regards Matt
Great video! Definitely going to change my Xj badge to red now! Can I ask please? What products you use on bodywork? Looks really clean! Mines black too! Thx Barry
Mine is a 2012 facelift and it doesn't have the chrome strip (had to check on a photo lol), not sure if it's an R thing or not. To be fair, I think it looks better without the strip but it's subjective I think.
NO doubt very few will agree with me, but the growler should never have been redesigned to the new cartoon caricature Lion from the film The LIon King. It is utterly cheesey, horrible and nasty looking in my opinion. No way would I put that growler on my 2001 XJ8. The growler design pre-2004 was great and slightly different from the best which was on the Series 1 XJ and up to roughly 2004. A car logo (Or any for that matter) should never change, it doesn't reflect modernism, it is change for the sake of change and again in my opinion, damages brand presence. If it isn't broken, don't fix it!

@philcresswell7028 yes agree it's very dangerous to put anything on the steering wheel

That looks great and the whole car is looking superb! Makes me want to get out and detail mine as it’s filthy.
Looking more like a 2009 5.0 with the new badge 👌 thanks for the videos Paul, Merry Christmas to you and yours, all the best for 2024....
Loving the badge really looks the part ! I think I said before I’m not very good at diy if I had a go of the badge upgrade it would probably end up with the front bumper coming off 🤦♂️🤣👍
So that's how Santa delivers his presents so fast, uses an XK to get around! Happy New Year Paul, all the best for 2024...
😁

Yes the chrome strip is a neat touch I'll be keeping hold of mine in case a red badge comes along 👍
Plus looks so much better with that red badge......Food for thought🤔
I think this is a great mod, I also painted my grill gloss black which compliments my Lunar grey paint work.

The badge looks great, and the removal of the chrome strip doesn't change the car at all. Looks ok with or without.
Yet again another great video and idea , it’s all down to personal taste but I think it looks fab. Best wishes for Xmas and the new year 👍
Hey Paul my 2014 R has the red growler I think you did yours justice it looks bad ass !! Merry Christmas and happy new year from long island NY
Hi. Thank you for all the good work, and very helpful tips during the year. Badge looks great. Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
Great vid, Paul 🙌🏼
Love your editing skills… better each time.
Thanks for your videos 🎉 Happy Christmas! Happy New Year ❤
My 2011 doesn't have the chrome strip. I like the idea of a red growler , would match the calipers😊
Thank you for all the fantastic videos this year. Again, you did an excellent job with the grill, the result looks amazing, and I loved the ending ;-) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Ending was the best 😂
Merry Christmas mate. Looking forward to more informative videos in the new year. New badge looks great.
Hi and deffo without the chrome and merry Christmas too
Yeah happy Christmas to you too mate looking forward to seeing more videos. Just wondering will you be doing a video of an oil change anytime soon? All the best, Peter.
Maybe you should push on some push clip washers on those lugs at the rear of badge just in case
Looks great paul have a good un m8
Clean and mean 👍

It will need drilling I think but easy job . Bet you can't wait 🤪

Hi Buddy check out the Jaguar playlist for some different wax that I've tried. Thanks for watching 👍

merci Paul bonne fête de Noël ; serge Paris France .
Nice one Paul as always, Do you know if the XK has a emergency mechanical EPB. release if battery is flat/disconnected similar to other models, Dave
Hi Dave believe it or not the EPB can't be released without electrical power on the earlier X150s
OK, SOME OTHR MODELS HAVE A RED TAG NEAR THE EAR SELECTER NO WORRIES HAPY NEW YEAR.@@life_on_cars
