Hello there, check out my Silver Spirit playlist to find out ! Thanks for watching and please subscribe 😊🇬🇧👌👍th-cam.com/play/PLO-H1s3PKb2MvtEZGeGjBIpqqR92L7Oq-.html&si=KszFQYJVykxJ-0BS
Thanks for that, very enjoyable. I just sold my Continental R after 3 years, two weddings (both Son's) and a European tour. In the main it was extremely reliable but don't go thinking these cars are cheap to run, they are hand built and the older they get the more things start to wear out, rust or simply give up. Ownership is a real commitment but I am glad I did it for a short while.
It is become obvious that Rolls-Royce will never top the silver cloud for a combination of elegance and simplicity. Sadly, the only real drawback in the part of the world where I live is the lack of complete climate control. Air conditioning became available in 1957 on the series one, but even then it was Not fully integrated and certainly not automatic temperature controlled; that came on Cadillac first in 1964 but what a beautiful, beautiful car!
Whoa! That is absolutely gorgeous!!! And...what a perfect touring car! The very Spirit of Ecstasy, indeed! May you both enjoy your Rolls-Royces for decades to come! Aloha.
What a piece of art. Thank you Paul for this video and to you John, thank you for being such a top notch caretaker. I thought this information I googled was interesting: The original MSRP for a new 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III was $28,500. The Silver Cloud III was part of the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud lineup, which was produced in three series from 1955-1966. The Silver Cloud III was one of the fastest luxury saloons of its time, with a top speed of about 120 mph and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 10 seconds. The price of a 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III can vary widely depending on its condition. The lowest recorded sale price was $16,100, while the highest was $577,500 at auction. In October 2024, a 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III sold for $137,500 at RM Sothebys in Hershey
Now in my opinion that's the car to have pure old school rolls and listen to that beautiful engine engineering at its finest and they were built to last better on a separate chassis These cars were meant to cruise not thrash totally adequate for the job I would definitely have one over the shadows brilliant for you both to bring this piece of history to people's attention
I bought 2 Bentley 111 s in London both were immaculate took my father all over the west coast of Scotland with one, the capacity Eat miles and drift it around under complete control defies credibility, what a magnificent machine, then they lost their mind and designed the shadow!
A stunning car. Thank you for sharing this with us. Correct me if I am wrong, I am not sure that the Marchal parking lights would normally be wired to be used as indicators. Car indicator lights (including side repeaters) in the UK are supposed to have orange lenses, not red.
Absolutely agree with you, but I'm biased. I've owned, as just the second owner, exactly this model for almost 43 years. Same colour but with dove grey upholstery. I can't imagine changing it for any of the hideous show off cars that Rolls-Royce produce now. Vulgar expression of money and no taste.
whats up with your Spirit just routine stuff or in depth?

Series 2 must be the best cars RR made they are simply beautiful. What a great example too.
I hope we'll see John again on a future video. Maybe after your RR passes the MOT, take John for a ride.
@@inthelionsden6335 I'm sure he will be back ! Thanks for watching Buddy
Thanks very much for this video...............what do you use for polish........................amazing !!!!
Fabulous.
Oh wow, I can smell it.

That's right but this was before orange was a requirement 👍
My favorite car of all time. It’s interesting to see what that charging/auxiliary plug is good for. My MG TD has the same thing. 😊
For your cellphone, of course! 😊
I need one.
Did you know that every rolls royce built has something on it that is 502 years old. And that is the walnut veneer dashboard and door cappings
My favourite RR
Mine too. I've had one for nearly 43 years.
Lovely Cloud, I own an early Spirit 1 (1981). If you ever want to do a video showing the development of the Spirit line give me a shout!
Thanks that would be a good idea
@@life_on_cars no worries. Just occurred to me as I believe yours is a relatively late model. Keep up the great vids 👍
Is the cloud three in Rgal Red its a grand colour my mk6 Bentley is a more sober black and ivory sides
John says it's maroon. Regal red is different 👍🇬🇧
Excuse me ! ☝️
I want this burgundy one for my living room ... 😃
Compare that magnificent machine with the rubbish churned out now. Thank you, gentlemen.
