My Grandad had a brough superior ss80 in the 30s in the UK He used to tell us he was amazed at how fast the fence posts wizzed past at top speed. My Grandmother told me one time she was on the back with him when they spun out facing backwards. He sold it soon after lol. Thanks for making these awesome videos.
Nice one mate. Came across your channel by accident 3 days ago, and love your Aussie directness, but also your knowledge and accuracy. Biker since 1978, bikeless for 40 years until 2018, I "Fixed" it now, with 16 mostly old (Japanese / Italian) classics....... including an early '72 Z1. I'll be back 😉
Thanks buddy. Z1's fetch big dollars in Australia. I love all bikes from all countries. Thats the way we all should be. I hate it when riders brand bash, unless it's in jest. Cheers!
@@motorcyclecafe Mate, my pension fund took a nose dive in 2018, so I took a big wedge out, and bought some investment grade bikes, including the Z1. Now I have beauty to look at, and money back assured. I’m with you Brother. If motorbikes are in your soul, they are all beauts. Last year I had an hour to kill changing car tyres, so me and my boy looked in a local showroom, and saw a Lambretta 150 from 1962. Sky blue. Fully original - no trimmings. Utterly gorgeous. If I even thought about a Lambo back in the 70’s, I’d have pi55ed myself right off 🤪. Few years softens the soul. Ride safe mate 👍
Thanks mate, there was a bit of an error uploading with a pic at the end, i explained in the description. But it took that long i just left it, as it doesn't really affect anything, lol.
@@motorcyclecafe But at 60 yrs of age, I'm prepared to bo down to the crossroads and sell my soul to the Devil so that I can enjoy owning one for the last 20 yrs of my life. 👍
@@motorcyclecafe If this wasn't a public domain, I would tell you what I do own. I've eaten a lot of shit sandwiches over the years to be able to own it all. If I sold it all off, I might just have enough money for a Brough.
To be honest buddy, I don't have a clue. Just whats taught in primary school there is 2 ways to pronounce every letter here. Never really thought about it until now, 😉
nobody seems to know how a single letter became a 3 letter word, i guess it's just one of those things like having the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car and driving on the wrong side of the road, it just is....lol@@motorcyclecafe
you know i think it could be argued that just about any of the naked bikes are more beautiful then bikes like the MV Augusta and the others where you can't see the actual motorcycle because they're buried inside a fairing. It doesn't get more beautiful than bikes like the Kawasaki Z900RS, Suzuki SV650, or even of the kiddie naked's like the Yamaha MT-03. The Honda CB500F with it's gorgeous black and gold engine would look right at home being displayed as a piece of fine art in a museum. however not all naked's the new honda hornet 750 and the suzuki it's always being compared to are a couple of the ugliest motorcycles ever sold. covering up the beautiful lines of a motorcycle with a full fairing is like putting a beautiful naked women in a moo-moo.....

Excellent and informative video as usual! Even though I'm a technophobe, I can appreciate how much work you put into producing them! 🇬🇧
Thanks buddy!
