    Let's get started!
First, open the hood of your Chevy Cruze and locate the serpentine belt. It is a long belt that runs across various pulleys in the engine compartment.
Next, identify the tensioner pulley. It is usually located towards the top of the engine and has a square hole in the center. Using a wrench or a socket, rotate the tensioner pulley clockwise to relieve the tension on the belt.
Now that the tension is released, carefully remove the old belt from the pulleys. Make sure to note the belt's routing before removing it to ensure the correct installation of the new one.
Take the new serpentine belt and slide it onto the pulleys following the routing diagram. Make sure it properly fits on each pulley, ensuring a snug fit.
Once the new belt is in place, release the tensioner pulley slowly. The tensioner will automatically adjust and apply the right amount of tension on the belt.
To ensure proper installation, visually inspect the belt and double-check its alignment on each pulley.
Congratulations! You have successfully replaced the serpentine belt on your 2011-2015 Chevy Cruze. Regularly replacing the serpentine belt will help maintain the performance and longevity of your vehicle.

Maybe that pulley just wants a day off! Jokes aside, take a closer look to see if there's any obstruction or misalignment causing the issue.

Is it a timing belt or a serpentine belt? I tried looking if they were the same and I got that they were separate.

If you don't know the difference, you probably shouldn't be doing the work without having someone experienced with you. This is a video for serpentine belt replacement and this car doesn't have a timing belt, it has a timing chain.
