Actually this works with regular nail polish too, you just have to build up the color more with layers of eyeshadow and topcoat but I find it works really well with shimmers or chrome colors. (Edit each layer needs to dry fully in between applications)
@@milflover6969 there’s the sticky layer that you can wipe with alcohol but it still feels not completely clear sometimes and I just wouldn’t eff with putting any nail product near your eye - feel free to take the risk but why would you?
I paint with matte top coat, flash cure, do the eyeshadow, flash cure again, then cover with clear base coat, cure, then top coat, cure. Why? Become adding powder often shortens the lifespan of the manicure. After a few days it will often start flaking off, especially along the free edge. Its easiest to do the shadow at the bottom of the nail as shown here, if you do it starting at the free edge you will often still get flaking, even with the base coat sealing method. If I want to start the ombre at the free edge I will actually remove any powder that gets on the free edge tips and then use a tiny brush to apply a matching color, then seal it. That way there is no flaking but the edge doesnt look weird and unfinished.

I feel like this is a really good idea to use your expired eyeshadow, that you can't use on your eyes.
OH THAT'S A GOOD IDEA
Ouuu smart smaaaart

or even just less layers with a base coat, colour, matte top coat and eyeshadow and then a regular top coat! works like a charm 🥰
Those nails are beautiful
Your nails slay everytime
You can also scrape some eyeshadow out of the palette and then add it to your nails to avoid cross contamination 💞
Oh very smart!!!
I’m so confused what yall mean by contamination?? It’s cured gel…

You can top coat with matte top coat before adding the shadow and it will stick and show up better ❤
Thanks for the tip!❤

OMG I HAVE THAT EYESHADOW PALLET!!!
Actually, you can do it with regular polish! It works on a matte surface and can make it look really bright.
I did this the other day with Essie nail polishes and it just bounced off! Apply before Essie topcoat! Love glitter eyeshadow! UK 🇬🇧
I’m doing that for my back to school nails thank you 🙏
I use eyeshadow all the time!
You could use regular polish I did and it worked.
Did u draw the clouds yourself or r those decals? They r so pretty. 😊❤❤❤❤
The question is, do you remove the goo from the gel color after curing it?
How did you make the clouds ?
Can conform this works with regular polish.
Cute
do you remove the sticky layer or not ?
But like... how did you get the clouds?
Is gel different from uv ones??
question: why can't you use regular and not gel? curious as I don't have gel (also can't afford gel + uv light all that lol)
But how did you do the clouds?!
Next time use liquid latex around your cuticles
Wait I can’t use gel on my nails or else they turn weird (for lack of a better word). Is there an alternative you suggest to get this to happen?
Maybe acrylic dip powder? They have kits you can buy and do yourself if you can’t use gel like you say 😊
@@tomato.sandwich ok! I’ll look into that
My butt would still use the Makeup palette
How the clouds tho?
I tried it with acrylic once 😭😭it was a disaster
Pinned ?? I love ur nails

Does the shadow transfer to the top coat brush?
