One thing is for sure....the comment section has got toxic. It may be because of his numbers getting bigger....those who were following Shwetabh for more than 2-3 years know what point he wants to make and then write the comments....those who are new just want to make their point valid and think that rest are assholes...hope people think and question their thoughts before putting them into words.

Am Indian and a tribal from North East India....I faced deplorable castiest slurs some many times....am now in Italy for now about 3years now but I never once faced any racistslurs here....it's so easy to give talk on castiest but it's another thing to face it on daily basis....

I belong from lower caste( according to some bullshit textbooks). I can assure you, swetabh bro you will never understand our pain. Eradicating caste system from India, is just a dream , we cannot remove it. In foreign atleast we can live in dignity. I know it's not a good solution but this is what it is. More than 6600+ castes omg . We are the most racist country in the world. The problem is much bigger than our imagination. This are just my opinions. I m lucky that I have got the circle of awesome friends I didn't even know my caste till I went for engineering. But In my university I have faced some racism. And I will definitely make them pay for what they have done.

Those who are saying caste discrimination doesnt exist, have a look at the very recent UP Hathras rape case. How brutally a dalit girl was raped & killed by upper caste men.
It depends on the very root of the crime . It's common sense , a rapist won't ask you your caste before he rapes you . The logic you stated above can be applied to any scenario . This is just another example of over simplification where it turns every scenario into a communal one . Yes, undeniably , there are numerous cases of caste based discrimination in India . But this kind of generalisation can misguide the reciever(s) of the news . So , it's very complex unless you don't have an idea of any crime's back story, you can't assume anything.

It's very easy to say things like this when you're privileged. The reality of rural India does not resonance with what you said. Just few hours ago a dalit girl is raped in hathras(UP). The ideas of caste system are deep rooted in the bloodstream of Indian society. The cruel power structure in a society can not be altered just by cognition or being pacifist. It requires a potent revolution which can radically change the power hierarchies of that system. Turning upside down that system will bring lot of pain and blood. Just by ignoring the presence of caste in Indian society you can not prevent yourself from its ramifications. The society itself is designed in such a way that you will end up feeling its presence at some point or the other. In India Jo Kabhi Nahi jati usse 'JATI' kehte hai. The notion of caste get detached from an individual only after its death(in case if we ignore what ancient Indian texts says about afterlife). The people living in big cities (especially upper caste) can easily ignore the presence of caste system around themselves because it gives them a position of ease and convenience, which is not the case with a dalit girl living in a remotely located village of India. The moment she and her family defies the hierarchy and power structure of caste system , we know what happens thereafter.

I propose a way to finish caste system in India and to unite all Hindus :- Just as all Jains have surname as Jain and most Buddhists have surname as Gautam, similarly, all Hindus should have surname as Hindu or Sanatani or Bharat. This way, no one will seem superior or inferior to each other and everyone will be equal in everyone's eye. Only then will Hindus truly unite.

Im from SC ( Dalit ) community....I won't lie but, I never faced ( nor any of my dalit friends faced ) any kind of discrimination....My parents told me that they have face discrimination sometimes and my grandfather has faced alot of discrimination...I think within 10-20 years there will be no caste based discrimination in India....One day I got into a debate with a Pandit....He had very poor knowledge of Hinduism....He was trying to prove his superiority just because he was a brahmin...I quoted Bhagvad Geeta Ch-4 Verse -13 in which bhagwan Krishn said " Society is divided into 4 Varnas (Brahman ,Kshatriya,Vaishya and Shudra) on the basis of Karma(actions) and Guna(qualities)"...Not on the basis of birth....If one is doing works related to research and development or spirituality then he/she is a brahman,If one is fighting for nation he/she is kshatriya,If one is a trader or bussinessman he/she os Vaishya and if one is doing service then he/she is shudra....I also quoted from Mahabharat "Yudhishthir once said anyone can become a brahmin,Kshtriya,Vaishya or shudra".....The Varna system was based on the work one is doing not on the basis of birth then how are you( a jobless guy) a brahmin?....He went into shock😎

I'm planning to leave India bcz of this reservation...I got 30k rank in JEE mains out of 10 lakh people still I won't get any premiere engineering college.... Meanwhile my ST friend will get DTU CSE at 1 lakh rank....after college he'll get a government job easily....after that he'll get promotion easily than me (even if I work harder)
Edit - Also he'll study in college for free....even tho his family is richer than mine... while I'll have to pay at least 10-12 lakh even in a govt college

I have friends that are sc and are in big ass colleges because of it. I dont think they've faced any discrimination or whatever and they're even richer than me. AND at the same time. I asked my dad a few weeks ago while I was watching ravish kumar's old video regarding casteism and discrimination and i asked my dad does he still believe In this shite and he PROUDLY said yes. Like we would say FUCK YES. Thats the amount of pride he had. I also remember plenty of times in my village(uttrakhand) , some people have tried to give me some fruit or something and my dad has taken it thrown away and not let me eat it. So man both sides of the story exist. But the fact of the matter is. Reservation , be it of sc/st or whatever or of women or of anyone at all is given or was started to provide a boost to certain people because THEY WERE DISCRIMINATED and trust me guys even in delhi you will find this shit 100%. I have been living in NZ for almost four years now. I think every place has its own Pros n Cons. You have to weigh the Pros against the Cons and then introspect on what you really want out of your decision. I love my country (India) and my reasons for starting my career here in NZ has its own Pros n Cons, just like India or any other country.

Reservation of Sc/st is not because of being lower caste. They dont get reservation just because of lower caste status or voilence .
Neither the any caste discrimination or any physical violence.
Sc st get reservation because
1. Lack of opportunity in past= not allowed to study, do jobs of choice, bussiness.
2.Maximum of sc st are poor.
3. 99% of sc st are landless
4. Lack of represention - sc st has25% of population but only 1% are in gov posts.
5. Lack of education and employment which is important for their financial and social upliftment.

For a guy born in a supposed lower caste will the caste system perceived by the society stop if I don't think about caste or believe in this system? Isn't that the collective effort.
Shouldn't the onus be on the upper caste people or people who flaunt thier caste, to stop believing in the same caste system for the society to become better?
