Painful to watch - FDNY Ladder truck 24 & Ambulance stuck in heavy traffic

FDNY Ladder truck 24 and an FDNY ambulance are seen here responding to calls in the Madison Square Garden area. Unfortunately the game between the New York Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Lightning just finished and thousands of fans left the arena at the same time. The streets were full of people and cars making it very hard for emergency workers to make their way through that congested area.

When a fire truck has to go through heavy traffic, NEVER EVER put yourself immediately behind it, that truck may be the only option to clear the way for another emergency vehicle, god forbid an ambulance with an injured patient.

Awesome Catch! This is painful to watch too. I have seen this with FDNY Ladder 4 where a car is trying to move, but the light was red I think.

That's why Manhattan south of 60 st needs to have several thoroughfare,
No parking on both side of the street no exceptions!!
