I bought this pedal thinking it really was "The Answer"... I like a lot of the modulation effects, but so much of the sounds I've gotten-out of it so far consist of fizz, hiss and more fizz. Now that I go back and view this demo, I'm hearing the same digitial fizz that drives me crazy with my own copy.
Have you compared with G5n? Music store in my place have a display stock G5 selling at $30 more than G5n, they said G5 still more pricey because of tube booster feature- any truth in that? Is G5tone better than G5n because of this tube booster ? Thanks
Super cool! It might sound even better in a real amp.. like a big 100 watts fender twin, low volume, on a neutral setting, without not so mutch tube coloration from the amp :)
A lot of people seem to think clean sounds are bad on the G5. But they are downright wrong. They most people who say the cleans sound bad is mainly because they did not turn on the amp sim with low gain in it as well as rolling down the volume.
anthony mallia I think the Zoom G5 excels especially with distortion tones. The cleans are amazing if you are referring to British cleans because British cleans have a thin layer of overdrive on them. I love the fact that you have to use the volume and tone knobs to get your clean sounds. I turn off my TScream and keep the MS Crunch (w/ BG Drive Cab) gain at around 60 so I can roll down my volume and get excruciatingly amazing just-over-the-edge cleans. FYI, My Chain (I felt like sharing :D What about yours?): ZNR - PedalCry - TScream - MS Crunch (BG Drive Cab) - Stereo Chorus - Stereo Delay - Flange/Delay Z Pedal - HD Reverb - Equalizer *Sometimes I change out the PedalCry for RackComp
+Avisek Ganguly :yup i do agree with u...same goes to presence, gain, don't forget the output mode:Direct, combo n stack front...i prefer stack front if infront of amp n direct if thru fx return..n if it's s not tube amp n wanna make fat tube sounding,i can just use the tube booster n bamm!!! \m/ zoom g5
Im glad im not the only one who finds this effects unit incredible
Awesome

Music Overload yul find any tone u want on the g5 all u need is good ears understanding the right sound
FUCKIN AWESOME I HAVE ONE ITS MORE THAN ENOUGH
anthony mallia glad you dig it!
an eq will do away with fizz(which happens on real amps as well) ...other than that

Avisek Ganguly I agree totally mate some people are so picky with their sound.I can’t fault this after buying one.I also have a gx3 and a boss gt1.
I think it must be how the amp/cab/overdrive/distortion sims hit my ear that they all sound like a TV static and a bumble bee hive had a baby...
Ok
