Thank you Roland-Garros for putting 5 minutes of highlights for this match (even if it should be more)
N. Miliani just because the 4 sets.
Pay and watch the full stream. They are on for business, who makes highlights for free? And other slams also have brief highlights.
cooool !
well 5 is much better than 2. so I'll take it. It's a step in the right direction.
N. Miliani and not the name of the winner in the title
That reaction after Djokovic went 7-6 up in that final tiebreak was tremendous. Atmosphere in the entire match was electric.
Cecchinato is very inspiring. Wishing him best of luck against Thiem
Hussein Nour Yeah im glad he finally stopped fixing matches and started showing that he can play.
Ethan istanforCBE He was banned in the past for fixing matches.
mmm6325, he was proven not guilty, my friend. Do your research.
Hussein Nour Hes italian my friend. They all do it at one point...
nope
Retrospectively this was the turning point of Novak Djokovics season. Taking a loss like this and rediscovering his motivation speaks volumes of his character. A stunning run of 14 straight Grand Slam matches capturing 2018 as his own. The best comeback in recent memory.
24 GS...🎉🎉🎉
I'm a Djokovic's fan but man, what an amazing game for Cecchinato! I totally enjoy the highlights and hope to be able to watch the entire Match.
La grandezza di un campione come Djokovic si vede anche dal rispetto e dalla sportività con cui tratta gli avversari quando perde. Chapeau.
Novak's sportsmanship is even greater than his tennis ability, hero
is that why he can't pull off smashes lmao
What class by Djokovic. Had to be a heartbreaking loss, but warmly congratulates his vanquisher. Such a class act.
It was- You can tell by seeing him very depressed at the press conference
Hahahaha such a class act for what ??? Normal act that both tennis players shake hands at the end of the match! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 what a stupid comment
@@pirate8731So much more sportsmanship than salty papa 😅Federer
@@pirate8731well Nadal should read your comment, because he doesn’t have it as it seems
@@pirate8731 not likes angry Fed your comment is very stupid shut the fux up 😅😅
You gotta' love this Cecchinato... He comes to play with quiet determination, grit, touch and he doesn't wilt when a legend is standing across the net from him.
No, you don't "gotta love" a guy who got two coaching violations, a warning for verbal obscenity (and needed the supervisor to explain to him why that's not okay), smashed his racket twice (once while up 6-3 7-6 1-2), and two years ago was suspended for a year because he was match fixing. I usually always root for the underdog, but not this time unfortunately
Come on up out of the past, Kevin L. You gotta' love what hes doing all the more for seemingly having learned the lessons of past transgressions and shifting it into some stunning tennis NOW. Two years ago, his match fixing ban was initially reduced and then overturned all together due to faulty evidence. Players are being coached every time they look to their boxes for guidance on line challenges. Oh no, a verbal obscenity....really? LOL
@@kevinl1299 Kevin, don’t be so damn anal, my man. Just enjoy the game and superb athleticism 😀
One of the most entertaining matches of the year! Too bad we couldn’t see a fifth set.
Hahahahaha. What a joke
Why the hate ?
Djokovic didin't went to 5th set he was leading 5/2 but he lost 7/6...
Great move from Djokovic after the match to go on his opponents site to congratulate 👍🏻
Sammy 8
Well your clearly upset about it. Maybe you can sit down with him and talk about it
Lol Sammy 8 is still triggered, still raging. Hilarious.
Calm down Sammy boy.
Sammy 8 I actually liked that Djoko hugged him that way. It gave Cecchinato’s win more solemnity
Sammy 8 You seem pretty triggered with the flood of comments you’ve put on this alone. Just an observation of the results.
Stop being mean, everyone is entitled to have an opinion.
A thrilling and absorbing quarterfinal match :)
Lukas Paulsen That was so unnecessary Lukas
+Lukas Paulsen Was there any fucking need for saying something as disgusting as that? You idiot... leave him be. He made an innocent comment, and there is no need for racism or anything offensive to faith. Go find some people that want that sort of filthy talk.
Muhammad Zeeshan Iqbal thiem crush cechinto in straight set
Lukas Paulsen you are disgusting
Pourquoi les arabes et les noirs reçoivent plus de like sur leur commentaire ?
Heart-breaking loss at Roland Garros always bring the best of Djokovic out later. After RG 2011, 2014, 2015, 2018, he snatches the Wimbledon crown. It has always been Roland Garros as a turning point for Novak either it’s for the good or bad.
3:32 the crowd reaction here !!! Best atmosphere ever
very emotional seeing marco like this, you can see in his eyes that all his hard work is finally paying off. Best of luck to him!
This was the year where Novak Djokovic just came back from injury. After this loss he won 3 straight Grand Slam title
don't normally watch tennis, but damn that was intense.
KdJ2
It's a good sport. I love basketball also. But the calls in basketball are inconsistent.
Tyran: Ten times more difficult to call basketball, especially nowadays.
Hey KdJ2: Welcome to the courts. The intensity will probably continue.
NotSoHandyTim
Sure! But I still find that the officiating could be better.
I don't get how someone can complain about this match because "it's a waste for the SF". It was amazing watching it, and I would have payed gold to be there! If you didn't enjoy this one maybe you should stop watching tennis for good. Fortunately things like this still happen. Even Nole in the end went to his opponent's side to congratulate, and that was beautiful too. Bravo Marco!
These two played, in my opinion, the best tiebreak of all time by a country mile in the fourth set. Marco, you've got my complete respect after seeing this.
What a performance!
Awesome highlights of an awesome match! That tiebreak will surely go down as one of the best ever..
WOW! that was deserving of a FINAL match! awesome! it sounded like a soccer match! and kudos again to Djokovic who showed great character by congratulating Marco. to me, that's real class. i'm sure there are those who are enjoying his tumble from the top but i think he's showing a great deal of character and my respect for him as a person is now off the charts.
Rand U I agree, Im a Rafa fan but Novak is such a sports man, he's even very appreciative whenever his opponent had a great shot..
this match really deserves 5 min worth of highlights
daje marco!
If Cecchinato gets to the final...
TheBigSquirrel 50 ...
No he doesn't, rafa is on the other side of the draw
it wont happen belive me
Won't beat Thiem
Phil Floyd Nadal is the final.
Over 5 minutes?!?!? Don't overdo it Roland Gorras!!!
& they block the real highlight videos on other channels, smh
They probably didn´t mean it.
They skipped from 1-4 to 6-6... Useless
You've got to love it when you see a pro crying tears of joy..all the hard work paying off. Well done Ceccinato you deserve it.
Roland Garros is definitely the most challenging and exciting tennis tournament in the world!
Novak is a such respectable person giving huge respect to every person with a happy face...most desplined player ever in sports sanirio... Love u nole...waiting with Ur great form again...

Djokovic, a full display of what a Gentleman and great sportsmanship is all about. Nicely done Nole. Although you lost, but you did it gracefully.
This guy is awesome.
Only one thing to say - awesome match! Congrats to both players
OMG highlights longer than 5min. Merci beaucoup!
Bravissimo Cecchinato you played the best of you and you pulled out all of yourself and showed you can win against one of the greatest players in the world. force Italy 💪💪
Today Djokovic has won his 19th major and 2nd French Open title. What a story ❤️❤️.
and now 23 slams, Monster!! he should had 25 with USO 2020 and WB 2020
@@Laland_1196Hard time for Fedaltard . Cope with 24 gs and wait to see more. happy time for Nole fan🎉
@@prempititantipool3075 yeah be happy i don't worry because you are happy and my favourite Federer is 20 something.. Djokovic deserved it
@@prempititantipool3075 he deserved 24 but i commented because he won some close matches when opponents so close to victory

Cecchiniato looks like Rob Stark😂
ESCARFEIS you fucking right man
The italian sent his regards !!!
Increible!!!! Un partidazo tremendo. Muchas felicidades Cecchinatooo eres un crack 👍👍👍👍
Crazy to think that he was ranked 20+ at this point, considered retiring and whatnot, then won 3 consecutive GS's.. and now is on road to cement himself as the GOAT with the Olympics, 20+ GS, and the Golden Slam...
Ahahahahhhahahahahahahahahahah
@@gianlucaburatti2846 still laugh now ? 😂
Grazie Marco di queste bellissime emozioni. Viva l'Italia!
What a display of class and sportmanship from Novak!
Unbelievable match form Cecchinato, he will remember this match forever.
Now it is Musetti's turn to confront Novak.. it's the Italian new wave! Go Lorenzo!! 💚🧡❤
The last shot to win the Match was Incredible! 👍
Incredible sportsmanship from Novak at the end there - not exactly an ideal situation for him but he took it like an absolute gent.
Enthralling match! Novak always showing the definition of grace in defeat, and Cecchinato putting his foot down and making everyone remember his name. Bravo!

What a match this was. Love seeing this watch live on tv yesterday and loved it. Tennis at his highest level 🎾
3:34, goosebumps! Damn! What a point by the Djoker.
I'm tearing up. I love underdog story like this
Wimbledon 2016 Sam Querrey: the match that started the unexpected downfall of a great champion
French Open 2018 Cecchinato: the match that launched a comeback of a great champion
Honestly I think Novak played pretty darn well here, he just got ever so slightly outplayed by an underdog who played the match of his life. If Novak wasnt 100% he was prolly around 80-90%. He was getting really close to the Novak we are used to seeing. A step in the right direction and this loss turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him and his fans.
This is why you train hard and play. What a beautiful moment for this talented and hard working young man. Stay in the moment and one ball at a time. His forehand is steadier than Thiems I like that pattern in next match.
Is this the real life, is it just fantasy, Roland Garros has put 5 minute highlights!
Incredible match by Cecchinato btw, quite lucky because of the unforced errors by Novak in the fourth set tie-break, but still, he deserved this win.
So much better to watch a match without commentators...refreshing.
Wow Djokovic was 4-1 in the 4th set and we don't get to see how Cecchinato crawled back! Thanks FO highlights team! Would it actually kill ya to include not just include additional footage but actual highlights of the match that matter?
Belissimo, Magnifique, totally awesome. What a match. Chapeau Marco!!!!
Yes, this was the last time Nole lost a Grand Slam match, neither Nadal, nor Delpo or Zverev have defeated Djokovic in GS since this day. WOW!!!!
djokovic is still the man. what a champ coming over the net to congratulate him
This highlights has nothing to do with the real match the intense long rallys arent there the back hand winners from the Italian arent there if u want to see one of the best matches of your life see the full match its just epic
That hug says everything. Sportsmanship at its highest order!
This is why you play every match because ''favoritism'' is quite tricky sometimes. If your name isn't Rafael Nadal, you are pretty much beatable in RG. Good stuff by the italian. Let's see how well he does against Thiem. I say the austrian wins in 4 sets, but who knows....
Many thought Nole would win in straights today, and look what happened, though to be fair Djokovic has been in dreadful form, this week was only the second time he's made it to the quarterfinals of a tournament this year, by his standards that's pretty appalling. And it's not unheard of for someone completely unknown to win a Grand Slam title, Brian Teacher pretty much came out of nowhere and won the Australian Open back in 1980, nobody expected Del Potro's win at the 2009 US Open, and Gaston Gaudio winning the 2004 French Open was about as unexpected as they come, though if Cecchinato DID win the title this year it would probably be the biggest surprise in the history of tennis given that a) he'd never won a match at a GS tournament until last week, and b) he only won his first career title around two months ago, so it'd be closer to the story of Jonny Marray and Frederick Nielsen winning the doubles title at Wimbledon in 2012, as neither had ever won a title in their lives.
wait for it
I'm not sure you know what "favoritism" means.
I know exactly what favoritism means. Not sure what point you're trying to make.
Fairly certain you don't hahah
Match of the tournament, WHAT a win for him! Excited to keep watching Marco play...
Cecchinato, the Sandgren of RG.
History his made for the italien when he Beat one of thé greatest playersss ever 😍😍 of all Time
A good run for Novak this event. I think he might skip the grass and prepare for the hard courts, he could be in good shape by the US Open. As for Cecchinato, watched him train a few years ago with Federer and saw he could play well but wow, the guy played great tennis. Should be interesting with Thiem.
Dude he's won Wimby 3 times, there no chance he's skipping the grass court. He's also got quarter final points to defend, that's a terrible take.
Alexander Martin in an interview after the match, he did say he *might* skip it...
Alexander Martin Do your research before saying it’s a ‘terrible’ take..
Thiem should win comfortably in straight or 4 sets. Marco may be in his prime but Thiem is a whole new level of tennis
Lol research.. All he said is he might. You said you think he should while providing no evidence on why he should.
e questo è solo l inizio, 27 nel ranking e taaaaanti punti da ottenere nei tornei da qui a fine anno, fantastico
Well done Marco!
by far, the best match of roland garros 2018 ! wow!

H G most powerfull crowd in world
Fuck off.
Increíble y maravilloso partido!!! Un deleite deportivo, gracias!!
Wow. For several reasons, wow.
Djoker doesn't look like the same player he was pre-2017. They say he's got back/neck issues, which I saw coming a mile away. All that twisting and contorting he did for years is going to do some damage, rest assured. And now those same shots he used to somehow twist his body to hit with authority are just coming back with very little on them.
I wonder if we are near the end of the line for him, and I think he wonders the same. So much of his game was dependent upon that flexibility, and without it, he'll be nowhere near the top. I think when it was over he knew the future was very uncertain and wanted to exit with class, in case that was to be his final exit. And he did show great sportsmanship and class in crossing over to embrace and congratulate Cecchinato.
This could all be overspeculation on my part. Look how many times Rafa has come back. Different playing style, different injuries, but he just keeps chugging. It's not impossible for Djokovic to heal and be the player he was. But I would say it's unlikely, especially since he's started a family now and has other things to live for besides the sport. I wonder how much of a factor that is in his performance as well.
Well I guess you were very wrong :) Like all the other people on here :) Never underestimate a champion
Good job for longer highlights
Italian pride!
Djokovic so nice at the end. Sportsmanship.
Like Chung did in AO a newbie reaches the semi
And btw pure class from Djokovic to recognize the moment for his younger opponent and a sincere congrats on his side of the net. Just class.
Novak straight up choked away the two tie-breaks. I was hoping to see him versus Rafa, but he'd clearly get cooked in the finals anyway...
he wouldn't get cooked. this isnt the first time that djokovic plays average/bad in the quarters or 1/8 and then obliterates everyone afterwards.. think back of US open, aus, wimbledon, when djoko barely won 5 sets and played bad, just to play tennis from another star in the finals.. sure, this is RG, but still
He choked away the second tie-break, but in the first one, Cecchinato simply played better.
he may got stuck financially and prematurely enforcing himself to play despite not enjoying tennis.
he didnt choke, he is not federer
Yup. A total choke it was, sadfully.
Un palermitano nella storia del tennis mondiale. Partita indimenticabile. Great Marco Cecchinato.

Milos Stojanovic . Very few players are beyond of stats and comparisons. Its very unfortunately he's not among them.
This was a great match. Always good to see a 1 hand backhand this deep.
Thiem is too good on clay, but anyway congrats for getting to your 1st GS semis!

ONORE E GLORIA. Grazie.
I think we are all forgetting one player here I see people picking Rafa as the obvious favorite to win RG which he definitely is then people talk about thiem who potentially can win his first ever GS title and also nole but now he's out the one man I'm talking about is flying under the radar and nobody is noticing him Juan martin del potro who in my opinion looks in serious form and dangerous form that can kill anyone I feel like he is the one who can beat Rafa in semis and also maybe go on to even win this title I don't know what will happen but I'm very much sure that this giant killing machine once he starts rolling then he becomes impossible to beat so after Rafa the second favorite to win RG is #delTHORtro
Jihad Ahmed well cilic is no easy pushover for delpo later
