Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world: they could try a canadian food and an international food every day for a year before running out! And I'd pay to eat it with/near them
As a canadian PLEASE SEND THEM TO CANADA FOR A BIT!! they really need to get and try the canadian experience. Fair warning MAJOR CULTURE SHOCK FROM THE USA Canada is so so different
As a Canuck (it's a nickname for Canadians) I can honestly say: Ladies~The door is open and we'd love to meet all the Mamahs! We love you here. 💖 And there are so many other snacks and desserts we enjoy, we will absolutely keep you well fed! Welcome to Canada/Bienvenue au Canada In both of our official languages. 🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦🍁 Hello from Jenn 👋👋👋in Ontario!
I LOVE KETCHUP CHIPS and I'm forever running around trying to find them where I live here in Florida. I want to try those All Dressed chips too cause if they are heavy on the vinegar taste I'd love them too because Salt and Vinegar Chips are another favorite of mine!!! 🥰
Canadian here!!! I live on an island in the Maritimes ! :) Definitely try some more of our snacks for sure! Chocolates for sure are much different, get some maple, back bacon, fried bologna sandwich, poutine, donairs, garlic fingers, so much !
Ok, I'm peruvian and very few times i see something like Hostess Hickory Sticks. Here in Peru we have "papas al hilo" which is basically the same idea, but we mainly add it to hamburgers, sandwiches, hotdogs, even enchiladas, etc. So I encourage anybody here to do it if you can so you can unlock another level of crunchyness.
We need some travel vlogs with the mamas!! It would be so much fun watching them experience food and culture in other states or countries! I would love to see them laughing all over the place and being the crazy mamas they are 😅❤
Yeah, hickory sticks are nostalgic because we get to try them once as kids then never again unless we have kids and splurge on them to let them try some. Lol. At least that's what its like for my family. And we don't do any of those name brand bags of chips unless there's a good sale. Usually it's No Name or PC. But even No Name is getting expensive at $1.50 per bag ($1.40 on "sale") Usual flavours we would see in stores are only All Dressed, ketchup, sour cream and onion, bbq, (the newer) spicy bbq, salt and vinegar, dill pickle, plain ruffled, and those roasted chicken flavoured ones if you luck out in finding it. There are some other specialty flavours, usually only from PC, but those are more money for less grams so we don't go for them unless there's a sale.
I had Ketchup chips many, many, many moons ago when I was teenager. We were being bored teens walking around our local Target and found them. I liked them!
Ketchup Chips are life...LIFE. But Layes?!?!?!?! Humpty Dumpty. Those are the REAL Canadian Ketchup Chips. The Layes ones have such a weird taste to them. Humpty's are perfection. Side note(or side bar) TH-cam Lawyer Emily D Baker has been pleading to get All Dressed chips into the US for months. She even pitched her own All Dressed chip cartel to smuggle them into the States.
Never seen any big name brand other than lays or Pringles. Out where I am you can only get those if you want to really splurge, or PC brand. But mostly we stick to No Name, though even that's high priced now. ($1.50 per bag, or $1.40 "on sale") any name brand stuff is around 3 bucks or more for less grams.
I miss the ketchup chips the most, hickory sticks next, then ringolos cheese and onion. And Swiss Chalet/ St Hubert Chicken. Lays come in roasted chicken flavour in Canada also.
The tomato chips have been sold in the US at least on 2 occasions that I know of. They are very good and basically taste like almost the same as the sweet barbeque. Delicious.
As a Canadian I recommend so much more Coffee crisp Aero chocolate Maple cookies Wafer cookies Smarties Fuzzy peaches Oh Henry Bar Grape soda Real Canadian Ginger ale Poutine Smokies Chilli
I ha e a similar taste palate to Xochitl and live in Canada. Never tried the Onion, but will now. Try the Candy Bars -- and dont miss anyone. You will have lots to try. I live in the Mexican neighborhood of Toronto which is fitting because I ha e lived in Mexico and in Mexican neighborhoods in the US.
Crazy how good ketchup chips are, but they don’t have em in the U.S! As a kid in the 80s I spent a lot of time driving every summer for a few years from Washington to Alaska. Old Dutch Ketchup chips so good. Dill pickle too!
Hickory Sticks are the last chips produced under the iconic Hostess brand. Since Hostess was bought out by Frito Lay in the 90's they have been terrible, hardly any seasoning at all. The ketchup chips used to be so covered in seasoning they were almost purple and bag of Salt and Vinegar would do so much damage to the tip of your tongue and the roof of your mouth, you had to take a few days off them.. Ahh the good ole days lol. BTW the best chips in Canada comparable to the old Hostess brand is Wal Marts Great Value brand, as crazy as it sounds...
You need Hawkins Cheezies and Old Dutch Dill Pickle love that you had the Hickory Sticks they are a real Canadian classic. Roast chicken isn’t traditional it’s novelty flavour.
We had roast chicken in Ontario years ago. They were awful and they were pulled from the market. They have started to reappear in the last year or so. I still don't like them.
we have similar chips like the "hostess hickory sticks" in Mexico they are called "patatinas" but the flavors are different. Lleven a las moms to Canada!!!
Old Dutch is a National Brand in Canada and are far more successful here than the USA. Old Dutch Started in St Paul Minnesota in 1934 where they are just a regional player In 1954, Old Dutch opened a plant in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to manufacture chips for the Canadian market. You don't find old Dutch other than the Midwest or specialty stores in the states
Someone needs to get them Miss Vickies Sweet&Spicy Ketchup chips. First time I have watched these ladies and they are by far more entertaining that similar content providers.

They also make them in bacon flavor!
Brazilians do that, too. Last time I was in the Brazilian/Portuguese supermarket, I saw something like 4 different bramds! 😄
That is exactly how cdns eat them too. Even in salads
I don't know if someone agree with me, but personally, I'm learning Spanish with this videos 😁😁
